Days Inn & Stes, Glenmont

I booked this through HOTELS.COM and as a result will NEVER use hotels.com again. Once on the property, was approached by hookers..this place is not safe and tried to cancel and be issues a refund, of which JOHN in the office refused to help, nor give a refund. WHen trying to call the property, it took 45 minutes to get anyone to even answer the phone. STAY AWAY!

The area around the lodge reminded me of some seedy suburb of las vegas. Abandoned cars in the parking lot and a family of ferral cats painted the scene. On the plus side the water was warm when I took a shower. The staircase to the second level is in desperate need of repair. the staff was friendly however. Long story short, if you stay in a place with "econo" in the name expect mediocrity.

after reading other reviews, it seems that the owners do a lot of bait and switch pricing. Coupon in thruway book said $50+. We pulled in at 11 p.m. - managers unkempt teen son gave a "future rooms only" excuse - huh? for refusing to honor coupon (nowhere were there exemption on the coupon). Total price quoted was over $85. Paint on doors was peeling and it was right on the road in a deserted industrial area. We found other accomodations. You might try phoning Econolodge chain if you've had a similar experience.. Insist that it be given to corporate, otherwise it just goes back to the manager.

The hotel is clean. Carpet needs to be changed and it smells. Rooms by roadside needs better sound insulation. I was charged $119 USD for double room. I had to rent another single room the next day for my brother. I gave my brother money to pay and he was charged $149 USD. Whilst waiting at lobby after checking out my brother saw Manager rented single room for $65 USD. I do not know if because we were foreigners that we were given different treatment or that there are different single room rates. First transaction was done online.No receipts were given for second transaction. This is wrong. I need to know who to complain to in order to have my over payment returned.

We slept there for a night last year when we were traveling to Wildwood NJ. Our room was really big and it was clean. Everything was fine, except for the bathroom light which was always flashing. And it's pet friendly!
