Holiday Inn Express And Suites, Florence

I made a reservation under the Government Per Diem Rate. I checked in while in my military uniform & using my military ID. I was then charged $45 more than the govt per diem rate. When I complained, I was told that "individual hotels can change the government rate". How can you claim that it is the US Govt Per Diem rate & then change it? Hmmm.... could it be that this hotel feels that they can charge more? If the $70 govt rate is not enough for them, they should not make any claim to having a government rate & let the other hotels have government business. If they are this dishonorable to a person in uniform then how are do they treat everyone else?

Stayed only one night and loved it. This hotel was one of the best I've ever stayed in. I travel often with my company and never have I seen or experience such cleanliness. The rooms made you feel like you were the very first guest to ever stay. The grounds were clean, the lobby, the restrooms in the lobby, the halls, I just can't explain how amazed I was with this location. The area was fresh and clean with breakfast. There weren't any downfalls to this place. I've stayed in Marriott and Hilton and if I had to compare, this location rank among the best. The outside of the building made me feel comfortable, so I thought I would try it being the other locations were in areas that were so busy with traffic and noise. The class rating on this location really needs to be higher. I plan to stay again next year, probably for 3 nights this time. I really didn't need any service so I can't comment on the service, but the cleanliness and the value, it really should cost more.

I just got back from spending an extended visit to the Florence area. This hotel offered a discounted rate for family members and friends for the Florence Red Wolves. The staff there is wonderful and very accommodating. They continually ask if there is anything they can get you or "if you need anything at all." I would highly recommend this hotel as it is very clean and absolutely one of the most "client friendly" hotels I have ever stayed in. The only downfall I can come up with is that the pool is inside, which is OK, but there is nowhere to go outside to relax. If you want any time in the sun it doesn't work out well.
