If you can read, do not go this place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/10
SMELL SMELL SMELL SMELL AND DIRTY FLOORS!!!!. I said to my wife I hope the room does not smell like the lobby and sure enough it did. It was as if there was a storm that flooded the place and left an unmistakable funk. I did not even want to take off my shoes in that Godforsaken place. I did not get the chance to experience the cockroaches, because after being in the place for 10 minutes, I could not bear the smell. I owed it to my pregnant wife to find a better living condition. Rather than argue with the staff, I decided to go down the Street to the Holiday Inn Express that only cost $20 more and much cleaner. When booking for the Ramada, they say no "refunds for any reason" and I think it is because they know the place stinks and people will come stay 10 minutes, then leave like we did. In all honesty this dreadful place should be shut down. I wish I could give the place a "0" because that is the rating this place deserves. If you can read and comprehend, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

Good Stuff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/30/10
Let's start off with housekeeping everyday my room was clean and smelled like apples hhhmmm tasty the few days that I stayed it was always smelling and looking great. Second I had an issue with my tub and I asked the Front desk to send someone to fix it Security came lol I was like ok but hey he got it fixed and was a very polite man. I think price is a bit much but otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

BLAAHHH! except for location and the pool!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/09
I like the location!! We stayed for 3 nights . . .there were cockroaches everywhere!! i watched a man step on three but on the stairs they r just everywhere! We didnt have them clean our rooms our whole entire stay so we eneded up needing more towels and in order to get them, we had to give a tip! Also, many younger college aged kids stay at this hotel and like to play a game called beer pnog,. . .there was so much vomit down by the pool and outside so many rooms . . . it was jsut disgusting. . .and nobody cleaned it up. we waited for the rain to clean it up down by the pool and once again had to tip the ladies to come and clean it up although it had nothnig to do with us!! also, our sink got clogged and nobody came to fix it. . .. it was disgusting! although the upside to the place was the pool . .very nice pool!! also, the continetal breakfast was not hot as advertised, , , the eggs were nasty but everythnig else needed microwaving . .. i dont know maybe id stay tehre if there werent so many roaches and greedy lazy maids!! but i can understand becuz we were dwn south that roaches are comon but plz sum one call an exterminator!! *****TIP***** IF YOU DO STAY HERE, WASH ALL OF YOUR CLOTHES IN A LAUNDRYMAT BEFORE TAKING THEM INTO YOUR HOSUE, AND POSSIBLY EVEN YOUR VEHICLE. . .. BUT OH MY GOODNESS THATS BETTER THAN TAKING HOME THE ROACHES WITH YOU!!

Terrible!!
By No Name, 7/30/09
The service was terrible. Our toilet wouldn't work and we were told to plunge it ourselves! The room was very shabby and we had to listen to the couple next door having intimate moments. I pray they didn't hear us!

Worst Hotel I've ever stayed at
By Tyson, 4/27/09
We reserved a room for three nights. The first night we awoke to loud talking and banging on our door. When I looked out the window there were 5 people standing outside and one woman was trying to get into our room. The other woman whom was an escort was having a sexual act preformed on her. When I called the front desk they said they would try and get over to our room. They never showed up. I had to dial 911 to get help. I had my 3 yr old daughter in the room and my 16 yr old son. We also had to leave early on the 2nd morning due to a death in our family and the hotel absolutley refused to give my my money back for the 3rd night. The breakfast was horriable the rooms are dirty and the service was very bad. This hotel needs security and some new employees. I will never stay at another Ramda again especially the one in Jacksonville NC.

my stay
By Ashley, 3/31/08
The place was located perfect to what I was going to be doing. The resort is really located just minutes away from base. The staff was really nice. They were helpful when I needed directions somewhere. Though everything was nice, every night outside my room there was something going on. People were very loud considering how late it was. Besides, the crazy people you get screaming outside your door in the early hours or a weed-eater outside your door early in the morning, the room fit my needs for my stay.

Too much for too little
By matsmom, 9/29/07
We stayed here one night because we had to add another day to our stay at the last minute and I couldn't get another night at my original motel. The price was almost double the amount of my original motel and offered less comfort and cleanliness than the original. The room had a slight musty odor, the comforters did not feel clean, and most of all there were roaches crawling around all over the place outside. At least we only found a couple on the inside of the room but that was still too many. The Best Western webpage promised a hot breakfast but all they had was a skimpy continental breakfast in the the motel lobby. I was a little put off by the front desk clerk who told me I would get a $10 break this time because their online reservation system doesn't automatically add the $5 each for the two extra adults in our room. It's fine with me if they have the additional adult price addition but either ask me to pay it or don't mention it if the cost is going to be waived. I sort of felt like I did something wrong by saying I had 4 adults staying in the room when I made the online reservation. Anyway, since I had rented the room for 4 adults, I would have expect 4 towels in the room instead of 3. Some of these complaints may sound petty but for $109 for one night I would have expected more. Next time I'll be sure to get enough nights at the Liberty Inn where my stay was great.

keep driving
By denise, 8/15/07
It's in a run down area, the walls are thin so you can hear the other guests nocturnal activities. The rooms smelled clean but you could find cleaner bathrooms at a truckstop. I did like the fact there was a little playground for the kids and the room came with a fridge and microwave.
