Door Doesn't Lock!

My family has been a frequent guest of this hotel since it was built in Annandale. Up until our most recent visit we have had good service and clean, comfortable rooms. Our recent stay, however, makes me wonder if we'll ever stay in an AmericInn again. Following a seamless check-in we went to our second floor room (219 to be exact). The card in the door didn't work, but we were able to turn the handle and get inside. The door did not lock. My husband told the gal working about the door who then followed him upstairs. She acknowledged that the door didn't work and offered to keep our belongings behind the counter when we left. She didn't call anyone to come and fix the door! We stayed two nights in a room that required us to take all of our belongings with us EVERY time we left! Our purses, wallets, jewelry, etc. had to come with us to the pool. For our trouble...a discount of $60. No one offered to come and get our bags from the second floor room every time we left!
