Fun in the Sun!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/06
It's beautiful Cali baby!! Fun in the sun!The Omni is located right downtown, could'nt ask for a better location. The Hotel is elegant, yet contemporary. The rooms are furnished to make you think you are walking into a spa! oh la la!! Staff and services were quick to respond to requests. A definite 5 star hotel.

Awesome Views of Downtown!
By Shay, 10/26/06
I liked the fact that they checked me in with no problems even though I did not pay for the room( A friend did over the phone) They let me have my puppy in the room and that was interesting due to the upscale ambiance of the facility. The views were awesome and it was a nice new place. The one thing I did not like was that they gave my laptop to a friend during checkout when I asked the bellboy to watch my luggage.

outstanding service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/29/06
On my last visit to San Diego, I met bryan, who was a bell hop at the Omni Hotel. When I called for service to have my luggage picked up, he was right there to assist me. He was pleasant and a perfect gentleman. I would recommend anyone who is staying in San Diego to stay at the Omni hotel and to experience their great service.

trains
By Ang, 4/11/06
Very modern hotel! Relaxing environment. We loved the modern decor, the workout gym which had nice touches like a bowl of fruit and chilled lemon water, and especially enjoyed the beautifully heated rooftop pool. The service at this hotel was courteous and the staff helpful. Our room had a lovely view of the water and the convention center. We were also able to watch the colorful trains go by right below our room by day. Unfortunately, those trains also came by at night and early morning when we wanted to sleep. We might stay here again, but only for a night at a time since we do value our sleep quality.

The Best Last Minute Rate
By Shi, 10/5/05
I was so pleased beyond explanation of the quality and care that me and my wife to be recieved there. I would recommend it to everyone I meet. We were initially staying at a Travelodge (somewhere close) we made the reservations weeks in addvance and we arrived at 3am, unfortunately the room was given away, so we had to stay in another smokey, nasty, yuck room because we were too tired to drive anywhere else, but the next day we went in search of better accomedations and found the OMNI. I perposed to her on the 5th floor facing the Gas Lamp District and the train roaring in the background. It was so amazing! Thank you OMNI you've given us memories to cherish...I am searching for a place to go right now for our 2 year anniversary, but I don't think that there is anywhere that will top that exsperience, so maybe we will spend each anniversary there! ( please forgive the misspelled words).

Relaxing Stay
By MaryH, 9/26/05
I loved the location to the Ballpark, the Convention Center, Downtown/Uptown and Balboa Park, all of the places I needed to be on my recent trip. McCormick & Schmick Restaurant served fabulous food and room service was on time, prepared as requested and included a pot of my favorite Peet's coffee. Parking and retrieval of my car by the hotel staff was timely and always with a smile. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean as was the luxury styled bathroom. I utilzed the complimentary wireless access to the internet everyday which allowed me to work from my room when I needed to and signing onto their system took all of 30 seconds. The gym was open 24 hours a day which made working out easy on my schedule instead of theirs and the rooftop fireplace, pool and hot tub were an absolute delight to indulge in. A definite 5 star hotel in my eyes.

Beautiful Hotel in Great Location!
By Gabrielle, 9/14/05
I loved the rooms at the Omni Hotel. They had great beds, nice contemporary furniture, cool/interesting bathrooms and great views. Our room overlooked the Gas Lamp area of Downtown. Plus when we got back to our room our bed was turned down and classical music was playing. Only thing that I would like to change is the $20 parking fee. It just seemed kinda steep. I would look around at the parking garages in the area for better rates. The location was great. We could walk pretty much everywhere. If you wanted to go somewhere further there is a Trolly stop right outside. From there you can go to Old Town San Diego and get great Mexican food!

Had a very nice stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/11/05
The only thing that I saw that could be fixed was the bathroom door. It didn't give the privacy that we wanted. The door needs to be a couple of inches wider on both sides. Other than that.....very nice.
