SAMARA, a beach on Costa Ricas Pacific coast, has maintained its original charming village character. The town and its surrounding area offer a large variety of plants and exotic animals, a 5-kilometer beach with coconut palms and other tropical plants, and the shelter of a coral reef offshore. It is an excellent vacation spot, with horseback riding, surfing, cycling, sport fishing, trips to nearby national parks, supermarkets, clinic church, bakery, international-style restaurants and more. The APARTHOTEL MIRADOR DE SAMARA is built high on a hill, about 40 meters above sea level, commanding a panoramic breathtaking view of the village, beach and ocean from every room and terraces and balconies. The Hotel is overlooking Samara village and the bay beyond is unique and ideally suited for families or groups. In high season this can be a rather warm part of the country, and the elevation of this hotel plus the strict north - south position of the building catches cooling breezes that the town and beachfront facilities do not enjoy. Air condition here is not required, as large overfead fans in each of the spacious 8 apartments and also the Sky Rooms provide all the cooling required. The hotel is very close to the village, yet remote just enough to provide quiet sleeps away from the night action. The apartments and rooms are spacious and each has an enormous deck for enjoying the sunset view, and the building backs onto a forest, so the birds are there each morning to greet you with a song. The main building has 6 apartments , 2 of them with a size of 1073 square foot, 4 of approx. 860 sq. foot. In the bedrooms are a double and a single bed (orthopedic matrasses). In the loundge is a sofa bed that can be turned into a double bed, and in the storeroom is another single bed that can be added. So there is a max. occupation of 6 pers per apartment. Each has a big bathroom, fully equipped kitchen with fridge, electric coffee maker, elec. blender, ricecooker, cooker and other common kitchen utilities. On every terrace and balcony, with their panoramic ocean view, you find a huge dining table with comfortable wicker fiberglass chairs. Also on the terasses, sleeping rooms, and in the loundge you find furniture like sofa tabes, night tables, writing tables, closets, private safe deposit box ... In November 2005 will finsh the construction of an additional building, very much resembling the old one. Adjoining the original building is has many of the same characters, like the garden, acces to the swimming pool, panoramic ocean view etc. It consists also of 6 units, having 2 apartments with a sleeping rooms, seperate loundge, kitchen, security safe box, large terrace. Sleeping capacity up to 8 pers. . The resting 4 units ( SKY ROOMS )are double/triple rooms with private bath, hot water, queen, king or twin beds size, cable TV, fridge, security box, balconies etc. They are big having 330 squ. feet each. From all terasses and balconies you can watch many different species of birds, dolphins and with some luck wales. Dont forget you binoculus. The beach which is probably the saftiest in Costa Rica is just a five-minute walk away. A restaurant serving fresh caught seafood from the Pacific adjoins the hotel in a tower with a 360 degree panoramic view. The hotel also offers a large garden area, swimming pool parking and reception, and services such as safe deposit box, phone and fax, email, laundry, ground transfer to/from international aiport, etc. WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY... Also near here is the new Mirador de Samara built on a hill and with white and blue tower which is a prominent landmark. Its a great place to eat breackfast or hang out with a beer in the afternoon and watch for monkeys. There are six good-sized apartments with airy high ceilings, private hot shower and equipped kitchens. Theyll sleep up to five people. the owner tells me he can take guests on a car tour anywhere they want to go. Three months ago we finished the construction of a big swimming pool area with several teak wooden decks on different levels. The new pool has a size of 12 x 6 meters and is filled with high quality water from our own 60 m deep well. The total size of the pool area is about 400 qm. From the pool and the decks you can also enjoy the panoramic ocean view.
