River Terrace Rv Park, Soldotna

I love this place, my husband and I have been coming here for 20 years, and despite what the previous person posted, I am GLAD that Tim and Gary hold our spot every year!!! We stay for a month and it is difficult to find a place that caters to folks from out of town and accepts pets. I can count on the best service (you know the people that tend to ruin a vacation by being obnoxious loud partiers? Does not fly here) and although it's a bit pricy, where else can you reunite with other campers year after year, get a 30 pound fish off of the boardwalk, have a place to do your laundry, and still have one of the most scenic campsites in Soldotna? The baby moose last year that wandered thru camp, while a sad occurrence, was a moment I won't soon forget. 5 stars!

We live here in Alaska & just called this rv park to make a week long reservation for 5 families. The guy turned us away, saying he didn't want to hold a slot for us for a week when he may have other potential customers want to stay with him for longer & he would make more money catering to them instead. What kind of person is this guy & who is he looking out for? What about us working people who can only get a week of vacation? If this is his way of running business, I suggest he close his campground to locals & cater to long term visitors instead. Really upset customer!!!
