River Bay a Place to leave
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/02/09
The price is outrageous. We camped there many years as seasonals and the price always went up. It is by far the most expensive adult campground in the Dells and you have to like to drink as that is what it is all about. We thought we had found the best place, but think again. They charge you what they think you weill pay and unless you keep accurate notes of your meetings the price changes. There is underage drinking, assaults and even accidents involving youth while we camped there. It became a place to get out of. There are plenty of other places such as Arrowhead, Bass Lake, Holiday Shores etc that you should check out first before ever signing a contract.

Love this place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/09
When we were looking for a place to spend our vacation we checked out this campground the person we talked to said its very fun here if you stay once you will never go any where else, that is the truth we will never waste our money going any where else. The place is very well kept and the owners are very excessable, and very nice. We had a wonderful time with not one complaint or problem. The staff was very friendly and fun it was very easy to feel at home and part of the family. The 3 couples that went with felt the same way so we will return and tell everyone we know there is not another place like this. We have been to alot of campgrounds and this is the best.

Hello to all!
By Yohn, 08/27/09
Hello, We are the owners of “In The Pines Seasonal Camp-Resort” and located across the street. First we have to say that we are flattered by the mention of a previous entry. We appreciate the advertising. However, we would like to clear a couple of things up. First, we are having no difficulty paying our bank note. We are happy to say that the new expansion has gone far better than expected. Also, we are strong believers in Karma. What goes around comes around. Nasty rumors and lies will get you nowhere. Which, is also why we can honestly say that since we’ve started this campground, we’ve never said a bad word about the people across the street. We own another business called Captain Ron’s Original Dells Jet Boats and we understand how hard competition can be. Several companies started Jet Boat companies after we did. Some were successful & some not. So we actually understand how unnerved they may be by us. Or maybe they are like us and they don’t think about the other at all, but just go about their business as usual. Though we do offer special deals to those trying to move in… we don’t do it to hurt any other campground in the area. We offer deals because we are new and trying to build it into a great success. We value each and every one of our campers, just as we value our fellow business-people. We wish the people across the street the best of luck and a successful end of the season. We know that reputation speaks for itself so we are not concerned about our campers believing false rumors. However, we did want to let the people across the street know that we mean them no harm, just in case they’ve read the above entry. We would hate for them to believe it to be true. God Bless! Ron & Maria Yohn

We love River Bay Resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/09
Our favorite thing about River Bay is the beautiful bathrooom, shower facilities. We have a handicapped daughter and the private room with the shower, toilet and sink is perfect for her. These bathrooms have corian counters and tiled floors and are kept very clean. That means so much to us. They also have golf cart rentals and our daughter loves that. Bayside Bar and Grill is great because I can also have a vacation rather than spending all of my time cooking and cleaning up. The prices are more than reasonable and the food is great. The Friday night fish fry is the best we have ever had. Our kids love the kids meals that are served in a sand pail with a shovel. We have taken the scenic sunset cruise on The Princess Kay 3 times and love it. The scenery is breathtaking. The staff and the owners are great and do all they can to make our camping experience the best. Part of our family stayed in one of the family condos and loved it. Lots of room with 2 full baths, a full kitchen and a large deck to hang out on. We have seen some of the negative reviews and know that they are not true. We believe the owners of this resort should sue the people badmouthing them because we have stayed there many times and can tell you the lies they are telling are not true. We will continue camping at this resort and tell all of our friends about it. If you would like to stay at a clean, friendly, well run resort River Bay is the place for you. Bruce & Peggy

It's our favorite place to camp
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/09
I was upset with the reviews I read on this site. When we have visited this campground we have had great times. The owners and staff go out of their way to make our stay memorable. The grounds are manicured and extremely well kept. The bathroom and showers are really nice and kept clean. Bayside Bar & Grill has the best food and the prices are really reasonable not overpriced like the lies in the false reviews. From what I understand the lady writing the bad reviews cannot afford to be a seasonal there and is trying to destroy the owners. It is unfortunate that people are allowed to do this. Also, The Princess Kay paddlewheel riverboat is wonderful. We go on it every time we stay there. The trip on the river is gorgeous. You see the beautiful rock formations, etc. The staff on the boat do a great job and are very friendly. We stay at this campground at least 3 times per year and cannot say anything bad about it. I hope the people writing the lies get a life and find better things to do than trying to destroy honest, hard working people.

This place is Heaven on earth!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/09
I camped at 100's of campgrounds thoughout my life, I live at River Bay during the Summer and go to Florida during the Winter, I spents days looking for a place to call home in the Summer months.. River Bay is by far the Best Place in the Dells if not the State, My Grand kids cry when they have to go home and beg to stay with us. It made me sick to my stomach to see some people post such lies for personal gain. I recommend River Bay to anyone who wants a positive camping vacation. Larry & Betty

Great Place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/11/09
What is not to like? Beautiful campground on a bay leading to the Wisconsin River. Several amenities, electric, water sewer, WIFI, clean showers, pool, playground, crafts available. Nice restaurant and bar. They also have a dinner boat called the Princess Kaye for trips on the river to see the sunset. I really don't understand the negative reviews. We have traveled to several RV parks and it is very rare to even meet the owners. The owners of River Bay are hands-on and they maintain their park well. I have met them, they seem nice but we don't expect them to be our best friends while we are there. The staff is great! I am sure this is because the owners have trained them and expect a certain quality in their help. Let's not forget that the owners are there to make money and they are in the Dells area that is very tourist oriented. They are in line with other campgrounds in the area that have less to offer. We love the location, just a short trip into the Dells to enjoy various attractions. The owners have rules and we like the fact that they enforce them and will not tolerate red-neck behavior. There is plenty to keep the kids busy such as the pool, the playground. bike rentals, boat rentals. The owners are not in the babysitting business and we don't expect them to take care of our kids. We go there to enjoy our family and the atmosphere. We appreciate all the things put in place by the owners to insure we have a safe and fun camping experience. We have a 38 FT motorhome and have had several great camping experiences at River Bay. This is a very large and busy campground so I guess these few negative reviews is just and example of negative people focusing on the negative. We enjoy the camping life too much to waste our time with that. Don't hesitate to camp at this park and enjoy all the amenities it has to offer.

We will go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/09
we disagree with some of the others we went for the 4th of july, rhonda was greeting everyone off the boat, the staff were great the people were nice (eddie & albert) just to name a few, the only complaints we would have would be cold showers, and they allowed ATVs to cruise around all day! a saftey issue to say the least, yes a bit pricey but your on the water, and yes buid another bath house at the other end but overall a nice place, took the riverboat tour to see fire works was a nice ride but didnt see much fireworks boat should have turned at least once so others could see, food was good, got real sleepy on the way back. but we will go back one day
