This beautiful camping facility offers guests 125 sites to relax on as well as storage, internet access, wood for sale, swimming, playground, cottages, and boats for rent. Also on site are hot showers and a snitary dump station.
We just love being at Lake Lenwood The owners are pleasant and really care you have a great experience. The campground bathrooms all have flush toilets and are extremely clean. The fishing is great...fish deep this is a "Kettle Moraine" lake and is about 5o feet deep. We have been going for years. Yes, there are rules, like any business..but if you want a true peaceful "non-manufactured" camping experience THIS is THE place. And, you will always feel safe, especially if you have small children. The owners really watch if there is any bad behavior, so we as parents can TRULY relax. Just a beautiful land and lake!!!!!
There are rules about barking dogs and loud pipes on bikes, visitors must leave at 7:30 pm. This is the reason I stay at this campground, my kids are safe and we can get some relaxation without drunks firing up their Harleys at 4 in the morning to leave their hosts' party. If you like that atmosphere- head a little further north. I have been staying here for 8 years, and it is by far the best kept grounds and safest family atmosphere for families I have seen.
I hesitated to go here after reading the other reviews of this campground. I expected to have a terrible time, but could not cancel my reservation. I was pleasantly surprised! The location is close to Chicago and Milwaukee for a long weekend. I went on July 4th weekend. The bathrooms are clean, the staff was friendly. Our campground site was amazing - fairly private, quiet and very roomy! The beach area is clean and well taken care of. The water is clean also. The owners do enforce certain rules, but not too harshly. Let's face it, most people don't go camping to party until the wee hours, and I was glad for the quiet at night. I will be returning for another visit.
They kicked out my inlaws who drive 7 hours to see us because we stayed after their unreasonable 7:30pm visiting hours for 20 mins. It was 8pm on a holiday and they kicked out to trailers and left them with no place to go too. He was so unreasonable he would not even listen to anything we had to say and threatened to call the local authorities. Very unreasonable management/owners. Would not go back there if someone paid us too and would never recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a campground.
The owners of this place have so many picky rules that we were very uncomfortable and afraid to relax while we were here. Instead of feeling welcome, we felt that we were under constant survelliance. What a lousy way to treat customers.
We wouldn't go back here if someone paid us to!
This place is the worst campground ever. We took our 2 kids and golden retriver and German Shepherd PUPPY, which never barked and we were thrown out without a refund b/c they claimed the German Shepherd breed is dangerous and has a bad reputation. Absolutly crazy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
