What a shame that Meg has to get drunk and raise hell to have fun. Your group was the biggest group of inconsiderate people on the face of the earth. I felt sorry for the older couple that was with you. This is a great family park with lots of activities for the kids. The grounds are clean and the bathrooms are very clean, and the owners go out of their way to help their campers when needed. You are right, don't come to Duke Creek if all you want to do is get drunk and raise hell
This campground was terrible!!! The quiet time is 10pm...and they pretty much want you in bed then. They threatened to have us escorted out of the park even though they had no problem telling us they could accommodate our large family. We even told them there was going to be 60+ people in our group. They were very rude to us and they were constantly reprimanding kids in the park. This place is awful for campers that like to have a good time and sing around fires ect... There are a lot of seasonal campers that make complaints as well. Not happy at all. We have this large family reunion every year and this year we all had to pretty much retreat to our own individual sites come 10pm for fear the state police would show up. We understand that our group gets loud...there is 70 of us, but they should have told us to loOk for a different campgrOund then. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
It was the cleanest camp ground we have ever stayed at! The owners and staff go out of there way to assist you anyway they can. It is family oriented and they appreciate everyone to obey the rules for common courtesy to all. Sad to see some people don't know how to follow rules or should I say don't respect anyone cause they don't respect their selves!
We have camped here before, but this was about the best time. The new owners have made a lot of changes that are really great. They have removed all of the older rundown campers that were there before they bought it and cleaned up the lots. there also are a lot of new improvements, it really is nice, but the best change of all is not having to deal with the old maintance man they had before (always had a chip on his shoulder). We have already made our reservations for Memorial weekend. This is a real nice campground for the family at a fair cost.
Duke Creek is te best family oriented camp ground we have ever been to. Very clean and the service is second to none, we arrived at 10:45 pm on a Friday night in the rain. The owners son showed us to our site in the dark and helped me set up camp in the rain so that the kids could get out of the truck and into the trailer. I would reccomend Duke Creek as we will be going back hopefully sooner than later.
