I love how the staff is there to help with any problems,answer any questionsI love how the pond is clean an live music is played for us.Just a nice place to bring the family.Lets not forget that they've a bar for us an a game room for the kids.I could go on about how great my trips are there,but hey why not just try it out youself!! We loved staying at Ellis Haven. The grounds are beautiful and the pond is one of the nicest we have been to. Our children had the best time. They were busy all the time. They can't wait to return. The staff were polite and very helpful. The few issues we had were dealt with right away. One night there was a group of unruly teenagers ruining a good time for everyone and the staff dealt with it right off to the chagrin of a few parents. I was impressed. Although Ellis Haven was highly recommended by friends we were a little apprehensive because of the few negative reviews we had read. After camping there we would definitely recommend it and are planning to return next year. I would guess that the negative reviews were written by disgruntled campers as we thought it was one of the best places we have stayed at.

I'm not sure where the folks who left negatives stayed, but , it definitely was NOT Ellis Haven. My family and I have been staying there for the past seven years and have never been disappointed. Every summer when it's time to head back, we can't wait to see what is new and exciting, and every year something wonderful is added. The staff is kind and genuinly treat you like you are the only camper there. Saturday nights are so much fun, that is, if you can make it to Saturday night after taking part in a full day of on sight activities. We can't wait until next July when we can get back to Ellis Haven!!

It is big- and we got lost finding our campsite. but the folks there were helpful 9both seasonal and transient). Jack (must be "of-all-trades") got us propane, find our spot and was just around to help.

We stay as seansonals, love it plenty to do and alot of parties at night.

We want there for a week...and spent one day and a half cleaning the cabin. It was the dirtiest filthiest cabin we had ever seen. And we have seen many! One thing to say in favour of it...we had to ask them to change our curtain shower (torn and brown, and supposed to be green) and they gave us a new one...

This place was a dump. It was dirty and discusting. They put my family directly behind the bathroom, people walked directly threw our campsite from the moment we pulled in until we left which was only 2 hours after we arrived. We asked to move, so we went to look at the site and it was already taken. Then my husband was talking with the man who was with his family next to us and he said he kicked a kid off of his picnic table the night before for doing drugs. The only reason he stayed was because of a family reunion. Needless to say I will never go or recommend this place to any one. The staff was also very rude and the owner would not refund any of our money. he only offered us a free night. "I dont think so"

We made a reservation a couple of weeks before leaving on vacation and never received the brochure and receipt for our payment because the campground did not put enough postage on the envelope. We stayed for two nights at the end of June and, although we liked the campground overall, the bathroom and showers were below standard. The bathroom and shower doors did not lock and after paying $40.00 per night (much more than we are used to) you had to pay for a shower! The first time I tried to shower I got undressed, put my quarters in the machine, and there was no water! The meter ticked away so it was working. I asked the cleaning lady to put an "out of order" sign on the door, but that didn't happen. I was able to shower in the other stall later and it worked but only had freezing cold water. I will look for a better value next time we go to Plymouth.

We count down the days until we can go back to camp, and when this family says "camp", we always mean Ellis Haven. Our first time there was a one week camping trip in a tent, the next year was six weeks in a tent, and the third year was from June to October in two large cabin tents. This year we are going back in a camper to stay the whole season! We have heard the complaints but we have NEVER had any problems. The kids love being there, we feel secure. We feel connected to the community within Ellis Haven. The staff will work with you to make sure that your needs are met in a timely manner. This family doesn't expect a RESORT, but we have found a home-town feeling, and Ellis Haven has become a part of us. It's more than just "camping", it's become our way of life. No other campground makes us feel this way.....we just keep coming back. Hopefully when our kids are grown and have kids of their own it'll still be Ellis Haven that we sojourn for the summer. THIS GANG LOVES LOVES LOVES ELLIS HAVEN!

Strict rules make it nice for the family. Clean pond. Sites can be a bit small. Overall it is a good value for the money.
