Great place!
By Dennis, 4/27/11
This year (2011) will be our 27th season permanent camping at Kenisee. We and friends have been located on lots on the river since 1985. This is a wonderful place to camp, if that's what you want to call it. It's beautiful, Spring, Summer and Fall. Nice lakes lots of trees and the beautiful Grand River flowing through it. I will say , many of us did think the dog was a problem but the pooch has since gone to doggy heaven. To finish, Kenisee is the nicest campground I know of and I'm looking forward to many more years there!

A little piece of Heaven on earth
By Debby, 4/22/11
Kenisee has it all. Trees, Lakes, River, a Campstore (Plenty of goodies for the kids) Activities for both adults (Live Bands) & kids. The friendliest neighbors along with the most secure feeling I have ever had at a campground for myself and Granddaughter. This will be our 3rd summer at Kenisee and we count the days for camping season to begin. I bought a little pop-up a couple of years ago and the next year I moved all the way up to a 32' with a slide-out and I never want to go home. The seasonal campers take a lot of pride in their lots, campers and decks. The kids get along great and most weekends there are events for them. But believe me, with 4 lakes, great fishing, all the woods and golfcart riding or biking keeps them very happy. I have yet to have heard the word "bored". Everyone looks out for eachother's kids and there are always neighbors ready to lend a hand when there is a deck going up or a shed. As for overnight campers, I spend a lot of time by the lakes while my Granddaughter swims and we have made some full time friends from people passing though. The pull throughs are shaded and I have seen some of the most expensive, gorgeous RV ever staying at Kenisee. You know that the family that runs this campground is doing something right...that is doing everything right...when there are no empty lots for more than a few days. So make your reservations early !!!! See you all soon M-20. Stop on in if you make it to Kenisee!! Oh, also you are right in the heart of wine country with at least 15 wineries within a 10 mile radius. Kenisee is about 5 miles from the Historic Geneva On the Lake and Lake Erie. Also, the Seasonal Midevial Fair is about 10 minutes away and is a very authentic and interesting event !!

my happy place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/20/09
I have been going back to kenisee for three yrs. My husband and I have a spot on the river. Pull into driveway and letyour stress go. It is my happy place. The grounds are clean, quite, and safe for the kids. We love the bands that play at different times throughout the season. Park dinners are fun too. For us location is great. Our first visit was love at first sight. We visited with relitives. The second year we bought a camper and have been there ever since.

Will Never Go Back
By Jo Gareau, 6/23/08
After several stays at this park, we will NOT be returning. While setting up, the owner's dog (who's allowed to run loose) attacked our dog. When we complained, the owners did nothing about it. They never discussed the situation with us. Once we left, they decided to ban us from the park. That's OK with us, since we had no intention of ever returning. This park has one of the worst pull through sections I've ever seen. The owners have campground rules, but apparently they don't practice what they preach. Not a happy place!!!

Awesome, Clean, Fun Campgrounds
By Robyn, 7/8/07
My family has kept permanent sites at this campground for years. The owners take great pride in their grounds... bathrooms are very clean, game room is great for kids, lakes are clean and well maintained, lots are attractive, volleyball courts, playgrounds, basketball court, cute store. The lots along the lakes and river are beautiful. The owners don't tolerate bad behavior, and are very hands-on. They like people, and like to visit.
