American Family Campground review

Positives: People were friendly and willing to please, I really like the help.
Covered pool , clean stream and pond , hot water in showers. open field
seclusion and grounds were cut, and free of trash and litter.
electric and water at each of the tent sites, we tented so i cant review on other sites.i did notice that they did separate the sites for privacy , very nice.
ok the negative - everything seems to be extra , mini golf to the paddle boats , the only thing inclusive seemed to be the pool and river.
no outside wood was allowed and they charged $40 for a cartload which seemed small. I am not sure if we broke that rule but oh well
there was 1 working game in the gameroom, the food was frozen and could only be microwaved and the prices of everything in the store seemed to be at least 25% above average or more.
the minigolf area needed upkeeping badly , many active beehives seemed to be an annoyance. poison ivy and red ant hills riddled the campground.
summary , If the campground was better maintained the place would be worth the extra money. they should either offer the extras for free or start maintaining the place better.
showers were ok , a bit dirty but passable.
1 of the outlets didnt work at the site we just used a different outlet.
golf range was just an open field.
I may pass on going there again in hope to find a better maintained and more cost effective place.
