Fire Lake Camper Park, Bowling Green

NOTE! This is not a camp ground equivalent to a KOA. This that type of campground that has reserved campsites for summer renters. You purchase a lot for the summer, pay your utilities and have a nice place to get away for weekends. That said; the owners are AWESOME to people in need. I was riding a bicycle to lake Erie to spend some time on South Bass Island and wound up just before dark in Bowling Green Ohio. Apparently there was a tractor pull ( what is a tractor pull ) and there were no rooms to be found. These nice people let me pitch my tent next to the driveway for a less than nominal fee. They even had hot showers! I hate to promote this place because their primary business to not to cater to transients on bicycles , however, the owners were so friggin' tremendously nice that I cannot let this one slide by. -Doug

Great location, not to far from Toledo, but just far enough to feel like you really went somewhere. Owners are good people, very friendly and helpful. The people that camp are nice as well. Nice pond to swim in, clean. Bathrooms & showers are spottless. Store has just about everything you would want / need. not to expensive. Good prices as well for camping.
