Fox Den Acres Campgrounds, New Stanton

We found everyone very helpful and friendly,even the reg. camp people. The grounds were very clean,the store was interesting to look around in.The swimming pool was nice and cleaned every day. Bath/Showers were cleaned everyday,yes had to pay for shower(25 cents) but water was hot and had more then enough time to take a full shower. Grass was cut,could rent golf carts,pond had fish and colored lights on it at night. Very quite and peacefull out through the park at all times. Ownner even went out of their way with maps etc. to help us find other places we wanted to go to during our stay. We had no chrildren with us but did have playground also. We already booked for a week next year.

First of all,the "overnight sites"(shaded)were the smallest,most cramped sites we have ever seen!! Also none of the sites have a fire ring on the site. There are "community" fire rings,available on a first come first serve basis.Wish we would have known this in advance. We feel the fire ring,cooking & making smoores is 99.9% of the camping experience.The pond is nice,and only costs $4/per day to fish per person. The showers weren't as nice as you would expect for as much money as they rake in. One quarter was enough for a shower.(yes,even had to pay for a shower)The staff was very friendly,and seemed to do a good job.(this was one of the only good things about this campground)Wish we woundn't have booked for a five day stay.
