What a wonderful Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/09
Everyone is so welcoming. Mike & Lee Anne enforce the rules and have fun. Running T Campground is a clean and very friendly place. I will invite my friends to visit and encourage them to move into a place as well if they really enjoy it. Running T is definately worth the time and money to visit every weekend during the camping season.

paradise with family and friends
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/19/09
We have been to Running T for over 10 years. We have watched it get better every year as Mike and Lee Ann the owners have cleaned out old trailers and made really nice lots for everyone there ,they keep the grass mowed, weed eat, kill weeds for any one who wants it for there lot. The kids can run and go with out a problem or fear everyone watches them they have a playground by the owners home ,basketball court and horse shoes in the valley by the trees. when we were looking for a place we thought it was a large trailer park because the lots are big and the place is so maintainedThe entrance looks like someones summer home. the speed limit is 51/2 miles an hr. thats for kids to be free and for you to be able to kick back relax and enjoy yourself, besides that you might miss a friend out under a tree with a cool drink. I know sometimes the rules seem wrong till you take the time to look at the big picture that Mike and LeeAnn have to deal with they can't make everyone happy no how hard they try and believe me they worry themselves sick trying too. anyone wanting a friendly and homey place to camp you can not beat Running T its very clean the location by the lake is great, service is wonderful, and you really get your monies worth, its like a long weekend vacation for 6 months you count the days till spring. holidays are great there always big dinners and entertainment all you do is bring a dish foe 10-20 people so everyone can sample your good cooking. Mike and LeeAnn spend the big money on meat and a couple sides just to make sure everyone eats. Sorry i keep rambling on but I can;t say enough good things about Running T. there is one thing i like to say if you really don't like it ,don't like the way things go there, then feel free to put your place up for sale and go all the people there want to enjoy them selves not listen to you complain its not all about you its about life be short and enjoying yourself.Be happy campers. We are really going to miss it but we will be back to visit we moved to Az for the grandkids but every time we're in In. we will visit thats how close you get to everyone its family love to all

One big happy family!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/07/09
Everyone at Running T helps each other when work needs to be done. We share one another's joys and sorrows. We celebrate life together. No one should be offende by the rules of the park; they are no different than any other civilized gathering place----and the rules are made with safety in mind. The park rules are reviewed by the owner and prospective camper before any commitment is made. Thank you, Mike and LeeAnn, for making our second home sweet!

mustard lover

We have been a part of the Running T family for over 10 yrs now. Lots of people come but very few go. The owners are very friendly and are constantly making improvements for everyone's enjoyment and benefit. There are rules, sure. But the rules are mostly for the safety of everyone, especially the little ones. The owners provide holiday entertainment for all ages during the camping season. The rates are reasonable, the sites are exceptionally well kept and the campers are like one big happy family. You are less than 2 mi. from the lake and Raccoon State Park where many of the campers have their boats docked during boating season. We are looking forward to many more years of recreation and relaxation.

We love it here.

It's obvious that Raccoonskier didn't want to follow the rules set for the park. That's the reason he thinks the owners of the park are rude and disrespectful. Come and talk to the people that are here, and can follow the rules, you'll hear a much different story than Raccoonskier is telling.

Rules for a reason
By Lori, 03/09/09
YES, there are rules at Running T campground, and everyone reads and understands these rules before purchasing a place in the campground. You're asked if you can live by these up front, if not the owner will tell you, this isn't the place for you. Management, also tells you if you can not control your company, management will control them for you. The rules in the park, are very easy to live by. I do not believe the park is over governed, however rules have to be set, and followed to have a beautiful, respected park to be able to go to on weekends to relax, have fun, and socialize. The water and sewage doesn't seem to effect your weekend camping at all ! If you are looking for a place to come to for weekends, Running T is a great place to stay. The rules are in place for a reason, just follow them. We have been in the park for 5 yrs and not had any problems. We love it at the campground and look forward to going every weekend, it is a small, friendly community. Running T is a seasonal campground, with very little approx. 20-25 overnight camp spots. all other lots are occupied with trailers or campers. Sorry, Raccoonskier has an attitude, maybe someone could help him pull his head from the mud so he could see what a beautiful park he is or was in. Come see for yourself it is a GREAT place for weekend camping.

We have a camp-site there
By jim, 12/20/06
Running T is a great place for family fun and relaxation. We have had a trailer there for 2 years and find that it is the only pace we can truly relax. The campers and the owners are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Running T was voted the best privately owned camp ground in Indiana. I highly reccommend this camp ground to anyone looking for a excellent place to camp!
