It USED to be great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/09
We used to go there every other year for over 15 years. The tent camping was excellent and the hosts were excellent. Well it seems now they accept NO MORE TENTING!! I referred this campground for many years as one of the premier camping places in the Cape May area. But no more.

Just a Little Bit of Paradise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/07
Cold Springs Camp Ground is my little piece of paradise in South Jersey. I have been going there for decades. It is an oasis where I escape to from the city. The nicest family that I have met in the thirty plus years of camping runs Cold Springs CG. This is the place that my wife and I went right after 911. It is our comfort zone. There isn’t a pool so there isn’t much noise. Just the sound of an occasion boat going by on the nearby canal. If you are a bird watcher you will think that you’re in heaven. You can go to the beech at the bay or the ocean. There is plenty of nearby fishing charters or just fish from the jetties. There are supermarkets nearby, but don’t forget to stop at Pete’s farm stand, just across the road, for locally grown fruits and vegetables. The Cape May Lewis ferry is just down the road. A round trip at sunset is very romantic. Speaking of sunsets, just down the road in North Cape May, check out Beech drive at sunset. Climb the lighthouse at Cape May point. While over there take in the waterfowl, frogs and turtles at Lilly Lake. At night ride the amusements in Wildwood or stroll the promenade in Cape May. Or just sit around your campfire and toast marshmallows. I can go on and on but come and see for yourself. You will cherish the memories.
