Low-Water Bridge Campground, Bentonville

We have been coming here for 8 years, this was the worst stay Ever!!! Bathrooms & cabins and playground in need of repair and upkeep!!! The 50 Mexicans that were 2 spaces away were very inconsiderate of all other campers, blaring music, drunks kept us up all night then others up at 6am, yelling across the campground, when we were fixing breakfast, they kept trying to run through our site right next to our table, too lazy to walk out to the road & walk around. I felt so sorry for the 2 couples between us. Told the owner the next morn, but since Noone else said anything, she acted like I was making it up. They probably won't, but they probably won't be back either.

I have been to this campground many times. I have came with my children( ages 5 and 8 )and with friends. They have tubing and canoes to rent . I have been on the tube rides and the staff there are very helpful with infromation on how the river is that day. The staff there try to help as much as possible to keep it a pleasent expriance.Sometimes there are rowdy campers . To the best of their ability they try to keep them calm. I enjoy going there for the river and the family atmosphere .The 4 times I have camped there so far this season has been an awesome time. I reccommend this campground to all my friends !

Way too many people for the facilities that where very dirty and always a long line too use. The first night I was their the night worker came to tell the people in the spot next too ares that they where too loud. I could here them offer him a drink. He said he would be back later and was I woke up to his loud voice as he joined the party and kept me awake well after 1 A.M.

It really is a shame that such a great location on a beautiful river is run by such creeps. My family (my wife and two children) stayed at the campground this weekend. Despite enjoying the river we will never consider returning to the campground. It was ridiculously overbooked and there were barely any facilities. I am comfortable "roughing it" but since all the actual woods surrounding the area were cleared this was not even possible. This would have been at least tolerable had the police not visit the campgrounds twice during our stay, once to respond to a violent domestic dispute, which my children had to witness. Later in the night the manager's adult son felt the need to call the police on a group of campers next to our site because a member of their group arrived after midnight and did not know which site his friends were staying at. I witnessed the incident and was more disturbed by the fact that the owner's son was driving his Jeep through the campgrounds while clearly intoxicated than by the fact that there was a bit of noise caused by the late arrival setting up his tent. I could go on and on but needless to say there are many other campgrounds in the area and this one was terrible!!

This is an older campground right on the Shenandoah River. While the facilities are older, they're adequate - and having showers was a plus. You should be prepared to bring water to your campsite - only the RV sites have it piped-in, otherwise you have to fill up your jerrycans at the main office and haul them to your site. Overall, a nice site and a good experience

We stayed at the site for Memorial Day weekend 2009. Turned out to be 500 campers ( we camped in the overflow area where you're directly in the sun, no shade trees at all). There were 6 bathrooms w/shower toilet and sinks for 500 people. The lines just to go the bathroom were aweful, 2 toilets were clogged. They had 2 Johnny on the spots in the over flow area that were so full someone pooped on the floor so when I told the owner they did not call for more Johnnys they just put signs up ."OUT OF ORDER". We were a party of 3. We were all going to stay 3 nights. The other 2 families left after just the one night. Not being able to go to the bathroom or to stand in line for 45 min. to do so was unbearable. Also by the time you got to take a shower the water was of course cold. It was the WORST experience I ever had at a campground. Beyond words. If you are going to be in the area and know in advance look into the state park which is 5 min. away. We booked late min...ie the overflow camp area and what a waste! Honestly 6 bathroom for hundreds of people. We will report this to the health department. It was unreal
