Island Resort Campground, Berlin

We loved The Island Resort. We made plans for another more commercial resort and somehow the reservations got messed up. We found the IRC and turns out we were the very first campers as they had just opened. What a blast. We had the pick of sites and it was surreal being the only family in the campground!! The owners were the SWEETEST people we had ever met. Campground was clean and and very nice. We still laugh about the messed up reservations and being the sole campers( for a couple of days) at this excellant campground.. Good luck to the owners and may you have many years of happy camping. We loved the serenity of being 10 minutes from Ocean City traffic and the quiet atmosphere of the lake that surrounds the campsites.....It really feels like an Island!

Wow! What a wonderful campground! We stayed there last weekend (May 5, 6, 7) and we loved it. The price in the summer is a little expensive, but its well worth it.The campground sites are huge and placed all around the lake. You dont have to worry about neighbors in front of you or behind you. There is a beach, very nice pool that goes from 3in. to 5 ft.I hope that they have lots of activities this summer. That would really make it #1. I recommend that everyone try it. You will love it, I guartentee. Campers from Md
