DO NOT GIVE CASINI RANCH CAMPGROUND YOUR MONEY!
By T A, 8/7/12
We reserved a site at Casini Ranch Campground on March 6th online via our Visa to Casini Enterprises for a reservation in July. We since tried to contact this company various times to verify our reservation or modify/cancel and could not get in touch with anyone at their listed contact phone numbers or email addresses for weeks! They billed our Visa. We were at the point of wondering if they were still even in business since we received absolutely no correspondence. We were well within their policy stated on their website under Rates & Rules to cancel our reservation less a $15 charge. We have all the documentation of their policies, our phone records showing various calls and copies of emails sent well before our reservation date. Due to their lack of communications, we could not get in touch with them to do anything much less cancel/modify our reservation. Now that we are disputing it with our local news station and with our credit card company, we've received several phone calls from Casini stating they will NOT refund us as their policy states because we did not get in touch with them in time. So because they do not return phone calls/emails they get to forfeit their OWN policy? I don't think so! BE WARNED...... DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY! They think that I will give this up and I will not. I will, however, revise this review if they adhere to their policies. ALSO.... see other reviews that state the exact same thing about not being able to get in touch with ANYONE from Casini and also that they are unclear about their cancellation policy!

Memorial Day weekend 2012
By Norman Gunderson, 6/2/12
Great location, but our stay was off to a bad start which left a bad taste before our weekend had a chance to begin! We were approached by a very rude older man in a golf cart, who without any greeting whatsoever, rudely and gruffly stated that we would not be allowed to unload our motorcycle out of the back of a pick-up we were towing behind our RV. All the best from two "hell raising" retirees from British Columbia, Canada, who were merely hoping to enjoy some of the great bike roads in the area!

Stay Away...Far Away
By Ho, 3/6/12
All of the negative remarks on this site are very true. All of the positive remarks must have been made by people who don’t go out much or have any idea of how it is to be treated as a valuable customer. Our group of 10 units were harassed from the moment we set foot on the property until we left. The “rules” were very strictly informed with the “security” idiot constantly yelling at us for simply standing in the sun at an unassigned site. Of course it was only doing what it was told from the “management” idiot. It got to the point that I had a long conversation with the “management” idiot. Without going into detail here is a summation of that conversation: Our number one goal is to make as much money as fast as we can, anyway we can, and if you don’t like it, we already have your money and you don’t get any of it back. You paid for the privilege of being on private property we will tell you what to do, like it or not. We must protect our property because everybody who comes here will destroy everything if we don’t enforce the rules. (The default mind set.) We don’t’ like RV clubs or large groups as they are the ones who cause us the most problems! (It seems to me that a large group would be welcome as a guarantee source of income.) The problems are created by the “management” idiot and the “security” idiot who go out of their way to make it a bad experience. Our group of retired seniors has been going out for over 30 years and this is the worst treatment that we’ve ever encountered in over hundreds of places that we’ve visited during that time. I strongly suggest that you avoid this place at all cost. After all there are places just down the road that will treat you with respect and welcome you as a valued guest.

Safe Family Freindly Campground
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/29/10
I took my family for the first time to see if they would like camping. I've been going here since the early 80's but never with my family. They loved Casini Ranch and we're coming back this week with the right camping gear. We appreciate the Security, the Helpful Staff, The General Store, and the location. If you like family style camping (especially with young ones) this is the place. It's a nice trip getaway from San Francisco.

We go yearly n love Casini Ranch
By jonah, 5/27/10
This place is great because you are so close to a river, and so close to trees etc. Also, driving 10min can get you to the ocean. I love this place and have never experienced any problems w/ it and have gone for 10 yrs.

We love Casini Ranch
By Jenny, 7/29/09
We try to camp at Casini Ranch every year. It is a bit of an odd location seemingly near the road and residential area but once you are in the camp ground you do not hear road noise and forget you are close to civilization. We are tent campers and like to have all the amenities. This place is not roughing it. It's very family friendly with play grounds, a hay ride at night and bathrooms with flushing toilets and showers. They are strict to their curfew so it is not a place for partiers and people who like to be loud at night. Most of the sites are spacious with fire rings and many sites have plenty of shade. I've never had a problem with the staff and usually find what I need at the store. I have recommended it to friends and they have all had positive expiriences. Will try to go back every year.

Worst campground!
By Lisa, 7/9/09
This is not camping. It is like setting up a tent in a parking lot on the corner of a busy intersection. Customer service is horrible and it is clear that these guys are out to make a buck. They fit in as many people as they possibly can and post signs that you will be ARRESTED if you break any of their rules. I was looking forward to spending a nice weekend at the river with my brother and nephews but unfortunately Casini Ranch ruined that vision.

Rude Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/5/07
Staff was very rude! Security guard was yelling at me claiming I was going over the speed limit. Very unprofessional! I wrote them about this person, and nobody responded. Shows they truly don't care about their customers. I read other reviews on the net and they reported rude staff too. Don't go. We were not expecting to be treated that way after driving 2 hours to get there. There are plenty of other places to have fun at in that area.
