Rood Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/29/09
The minute we arrived we were not greeted very frendly. I went into the store, purchased propane and had to say your welcome because the staff member just handed me the reciept. the camp ground was Dirty/Dusty/rood staff

We love Casini Ranch
By Jenny, 07/29/09
We try to camp at Casini Ranch every year. It is a bit of an odd location seemingly near the road and residential area but once you are in the camp ground you do not hear road noise and forget you are close to civilization. We are tent campers and like to have all the amenities. This place is not roughing it. It's very family friendly with play grounds, a hay ride at night and bathrooms with flushing toilets and showers. They are strict to their curfew so it is not a place for partiers and people who like to be loud at night. Most of the sites are spacious with fire rings and many sites have plenty of shade. I've never had a problem with the staff and usually find what I need at the store. I have recommended it to friends and they have all had positive expiriences. Will try to go back every year.

Worst campground!
By Lisa, 07/09/09
This is not camping. It is like setting up a tent in a parking lot on the corner of a busy intersection. Customer service is horrible and it is clear that these guys are out to make a buck. They fit in as many people as they possibly can and post signs that you will be ARRESTED if you break any of their rules. I was looking forward to spending a nice weekend at the river with my brother and nephews but unfortunately Casini Ranch ruined that vision.

Rude Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/05/07
Staff was very rude! Security guard was yelling at me claiming I was going over the speed limit. Very unprofessional! I wrote them about this person, and nobody responded. Shows they truly don't care about their customers. I read other reviews on the net and they reported rude staff too. Don't go. We were not expecting to be treated that way after driving 2 hours to get there. There are plenty of other places to have fun at in that area.

Not safe! The staff is very odd
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/19/07
We were planning on staying a few nights but left after one. Our campsite had broken glass and bottle caps on it. Luckily we had a piece of faux grass to lay out. The women’s restroom was only partially working and the door was forced open by a bench and a large pry bar. It was a little creepy. The wi-fi only works directly in front of the store which would be fine except that when we parked there to access the internet a staff member seriously endangered us. He pulled up in a bulldozer with a swinging forklift attachment and picked up a crate inches way from us. The bulldozer was about 3 inches away from the side of our car with us in it! One slip and our car would have been crushed. All he had to do was let us know he was headed our way and we would have gladly moved. This is the same guy that harassed us and other campers about “speeding”. Granted, we were going about 3 miles over the speed limit but he insisted we were doing much more than that (impossible given road conditions & our vehicles). You will quickly get used to getting the "stink eye" from security. They seem to think everyone is a criminal. We recommend staying closer to Guerneville, this place is not safe.

Great time
By Ronnie, 05/30/06
We enjoyed the Casini Campground. While we are tent campers and most of the sites were filled by RVers, we felt that the expected good behavior made the experience enjoyable for all. When our son wandered off, the Casini staff found him quickly and were very helpful. The kids can ridebikes around the campground, and security will stop you if you drive your car too fast. We're planning to go back often.

Watch out for the Security Guards!!@
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/06
The place was nice enough, they have been trying to bring it up to par. They advertise wireless internet. You can't get it there unless you are right under the antenna. But the problem is the security. They harass people, if you leave your child alone at your campsite to go to the bathroom they will have the sheriff pick it up. They sneak around at night trying not to protect and see to the safety of people, but to catch somebody doing something they think is wrong. The main guard, Nancy, has her ups and downs, mostly downs. Will tell you to go to bed, be quiet, even t hough it is not q uiet time yet. We were told at 8:00 pm that we needed to shut up and go to bed, or whisper when we talked because we might bother some one. The bathrooms are painted this year, that's a plus, hope the hot water stays on. The last time I was here we were without hot water in the bathrooms for the first couple days and they were dirty and broken. Site seem nice enough but they cut down many trees and you are left exposed and out in the open, not cozy and nice, plus will get real hot. Will not go again.

Some of the best camping in the area!
By Tygrwmn, 01/13/06
My husband and I went camping on our honeymoon. We were really poor and we felt like we just had to do something. I had been going up to Guerneville since I was a child to visit my grandparents, so I was fairly familiar with the area. We picked Casini on a whim, and we were so happy that we did! My husband's not a great camper, but I've been going back on my own almost every year since then. Casini is a wonderful place, still family-owned as far as I know. It's clean and well-run, and central to so much that the area has to offer - well, I'm not a drinker so I don't visit the wineries, but I do kayak, and Casini is right on the Russian River. A few years ago I went all the way to the sea and back - though I started late and got back after dark - but it was a beautiful paddle, not too strenuous and of course no whitewater. The environment is lovely, there's never anyone "weird" there, and they tend to draw a lot of people like me who return again and again over the years. Guerneville is very close, and there are some fun shops and restaurants there, plus Bodega Bay and environs are a short drive. The campground itself has a wonderful little store right there on the premises, with everything you need. There's a clean laundry room, and good facilities for tents or RV's. I have a 20-foot travel trailer and I have my favorite spots that I like to ask for. Anyway, well worth a look see, if you're planning to go camping up in the area.
