Golden Pine Rv Park, June Lake

We usually have a great time at this little RV park. We have been coming here for a long time - 7 years or so, and have been through a couple of ownership and management changes. The new manager - Dennis - has been here for a couple of years, but this year we were treated so rudely by him this year that I can't even believe it. I guess there are some people at the campground that believe the mantra that "children should be neither seen nor heard", because our two boys were playing (in the community area of the park), like kids do and they complained - we did make sure that our boys were quiet after that, but it didn't seem to matter. We were treated like outcasts in the campground - Dennis wouldn't even acknowledge our presence in the campground. We would say hi to him and he would just keep walking like he never heard us, etc. He was very friendly with all the other campers, sitting around with them during the day drinking beers, and chatting (while getting paid for it). We stayed for a month and when I left, I went to give the bathroom key back, and Dennis pretty much ignored me, and then told me, and I quote: "I have never been so happy to see someone leave MY campground in all my life". Needless to say, I was pretty upset, but decided to be the bigger man, and just walked away. While Golden Pine is a great little campground, and we have had a fantastic time through the years, We will not be back while Dennis is still managing the park. If they don't want kids in the campground, they should make the park adults only.

We really liked this small rv park located near Gull Lake in the June Lake Loop. The host does a great job keeping the park clean including the sites and the bathrooms! Our only true complaint was having to deal with one of the campers who apparently stays there all summer every year. He is constantly drunk and extremely obnoxious and annoying to follow campers. We were also concerned about him driving in & out of the park when he was obviously so drunk. Because of this we're not sure we'll return next year as he did spoil our stay which is really sad because the park is really nice.

This is our 3rd year at Golden Pine RV Park and it has become our summer home. The park has undergone amazing changes -- wider spots, gravel throughout, decorative wall along the road and a new manager, Dennis. Dennis & the relief host, Heather, keep this a Super Clean park including the bathrooms, showers & laundry room. We had several community BBQ potlucks and even campfire sing-a-longs with Dennis playing his guitar as well as a few campers playing ukuleles. Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy these events! The park is in a great location in June Lake within walking distance to both Gull & June lakes as well as the small town of June Lake. Dennis is an outgoing and friendly host and especially made foreign visitors feel welcome and comfortable during their stay. I know they left Golden Pine feeling that most Americans are warm, helpful and friendly people thanks to Dennis. Thanks Golden Pine for another great summer!! We can't wait to return next year!!

We chose Golden Pine RV Park based on positive reviews we read, and I have to say they are all spot-on. The park is very well maintained and the Dennis (the manager) is very welcoming and takes very good care of all of the guests. The bathrooms and laundry facilities are spotless. The gravel throughout the campground virtually eliminated dust. It's in an ideal location and is an easy walk to Gull Lake, June Lake and town. My only complaint is that I wish we could have stayed longer.

we have stayed at golden pines seven times and have watched the changes during that time. since the last management change there has been nothing less than a complete turn around. dennis, who is the on sight manager is doing an excellent job. he goes out of his way to make sure we are set up and enjoying the park. the bathrooms are spotless along with the laundry room. they have gravel the complete park which keeps the mud and/or the dust down. it also gives the place a more open look. they have trimed the trees, upgraded the hookups, moved out the old park models, re did the fish cleaning area and added a wall to the road side of the park. the people that run the place are wonderful, from the person who answers the phone to heather, they all do their best to make your stay a great one. i hesitate giving this review since this place is a hidden gem. but these people deserve this review in that you can see everywhere the hard work that has gone into this place. the location can't be beat as you are walking distance to gull lake, june lake, the village and it's quiet.

We have been staying at Golden Pine almost every summer since 1976. We missed a few years when the last management changed, but since we returned, we have found Craig and the ladies in the main office to be friendly and very helpful when needed. The improvements made in the past few years have really been great. We have told friends about Golden Pine over the years, but may keep the secret from now on! We hope to stay for two months this summer and next. It is within walking distance to lakes, town, hiking trails, and the Tiger Bar.

We have stayed at Golden Pines RV for over 20 years and have seen many changes over the years, some good and some bad. But on our recent visit I can say all the new changes are the best. The campsites were clean and everyone was very nice. Can't say enough about Craig who is managing the park now, he was very helpful if we needed anything and had any questions. Can't wait to go back next year!!!!!

This is our second trip to Golden Pine. The new management is excellent!! The new manager, Craig, is extremely friendly and helpful and makes us feel like family. We stayed a month last year and had no problems whatsoever. This year & next year it's a two month stay! Both Gull Lake & June Lake are within a short walk as well as the small town of June Lake! They are remodeling this park & have removed the permanent residents & their trailers. This small rv park is CLEAN, quiet and beautiful! Only problem with this place is once the word gets out we may have trouble getting a spot! It's the best!! Thanks Craig for a wonderful vacation!

This place was great. Greg the Australian who runs the park is very nice & helpful, he remembered our names & came & checked on us each day. The park is very clean, the people were very friendly, the bathrooms are very nice & clean. They vacated the people that lived there that were a problem. They are getting ready to remodel the park. This is a great place, great location, great customer service. Definitely will go back.

This R.V. park has been a family tradition for the past 10+ years. Unfourtinatly for the past 2 years my family has experienced problems with some permenet tenents that reside in the park on a year round basis. These tenents have threatened my family with violence and disrupted our anticipated peacful stay in the area. I am refering to the couple that resides in a large white mobile home at the upper side of the park. I hope the managers of the park read this post and take the neccessary corrective actions. For anyone else wanting to stay at the park I hope you are assigned a spot far away from these individuals! I want to continue to stay with my family at this park but that will not happen until I am sure we ae safe from these psychotic tenents. .
