Parks Bluff Campground, Potosi

The river outfiting service was very bad. The employees were unorganized and their language was crude and offensive. The schedule for pick-up of canoers and rafters is terrible and seems to be geared wholly towards convenience of the employees. I definitely do not recommend this comany as an outfitter for the Black River.

Keep in mind we were there for an extended weekend, so we only have the weekend to evaluate. Not sure how the weekdays are in comparison. The staff was friendly and helpful. The campsites were pretty and shady where we were, which was nice, but the areas were not mowed and had lots of really tall grass. The bath facility is not very clean and not entirely enclosed, sinks are outside and the restrooms and showers are in individual "closet" rooms, so pretty small spaces. The shower rooms have no where to put your things to keep them dry, which is a huge problem if you have children. This is a party place, not a family place. We were in the "family area" and enjoyed many family campers on Friday afternoon, but by Friday evening, the party had started and many of the campsites had very loud groups and the language was unbelievable! Our children heard more than they needed to for sure! The river trip was well organized and the woman that ran it was awesome. The river was very pretty but still lots of foul-mouthed groups to contend with. The bus ride back was just plain scary, the drivers drive very fast on narrow roads. If you want to go and party, this place may be for you, but if you are looking for a place to take children for the weekend, I wouldn't recommend it.

Staff was very nice. Campsite ok. Really needed to be mowed. The bath house was absolutly awful. They looked like they are rarely cleaned. Moldy, smelly and bug infested. No where to hang your clothes or sit your toiletries while showering. i would not stay here again and would not recommend this campsite to anyone.

The park was the cleanest that I have ever seen. The staff was friendly, polite, and helpful. The man that drove the little bus was a little guy he was very nice to us and we will be back in 2007 and I hope that he is there when we get there. I think that the only thing that needs to improve is that all of the drunks need to calm down after a certin time at night. The owner has a great park and a great staff. Thank You Parksbluff
