We will NEVER stay here again
By ,
Extremely rude office staff - I thought campgrounds were supposed to be relaxing and friendly!

No problems here
By ,
We stayed here for a weekend with our kids and pets. This is an old campground and the bathroom and playground are definitely OLD and worn out. However, the kids had a blast and it was relaxing. Great staff in the office and super friendly. Just booked our next camping trip. If you want a little more space book space 5. It has only one neighbor and a partial wooden fence in front of it which offers a bit of privacy. It is also right across from the playground so if you have kids you can just sit at your site and keep an eye on them while they play. It's at the front of the campground though.

Love the trees!
By ,
This is truly a great campground. The staff are some of the friendliest I have run into. Some spots are close together, but others are spread out nicely. No problems with hookups, etc. Entire site is in heavy pine trees! I have read some negative reviews on other sites, but didnt have any problem. In fact we just called and scheduled another long weekend stay in early August. The staff were very helpful over the phone and worked with us to see if several "prime" spots were available. Some of these on the outer border back up to pristine forest... We have a 32 foot fifth wheel and had absolutely no issues with navigating through the roads/spots. Those that have noted no campfires allowed obviously are not familiar with the area as most areas in Flagstaff do not allow campfires starting in May due to the dry conditions. AZ constantly battles fires and although it would be nice to have a campfire I completely understand why this is necessary. Note for those looking for pool this campground does not have one. I guess they used to but had to shut it down due to the water shortages. No biggie for us, but this may turn some off to the location. I love camping in the trees, and really enjoyed our time stayed here. We will be frequenting this campground for quick getaways from Phoenix many times in the future.

GREAT CAMING WOW
By ,
We just returned from this Rv park and Campground. This place was GREAT FUN for the kids and us. Really relaxing and beautiful location in the thick of tall pine trees. The staff was pleasant. I am planning my next trip ASAP. I loved the felling of being in the woods but close to shopping for forgotten necessities. I can’t say enough about what a great trip this was for us. I will say if you want a traditional rv park with no noise of children playing or people have a great camping experience don’t come here go to one of the campgrounds that look like a parking lot that has age restrictions so you are not bothered by the sounds of children and adults having fun. I highly recommend this park. I would give it 5 stars.!!!!!!!!!!!

Office Help RUDE
By ,
We recently went to Woody Mountain. We really liked the campsites for a real campground feel but the office person (marge or madge) was really rude and I felt like I was a bother to ask questions. We also had an emergency and needed to leave a day early, when i asked if that day can just be out to our next weekend that we had booked, she was VERY rude. We have been to canyon lake and payson and NEVER had this problem. I am letting them keep thier night and cancelling our next weekend. I would not recommend giving these people your hard earned money, there are other campgrounds!
