Pyramid Lake Rv Resort, Gorman

Nice people, quiet. Cabin was not fancy but comfortable. Wifi signal was strong but not really fast. If you like fishing, try Quail Lake nearby (go to the back of the lake away from the highway). Great getaway place not overrun with scary trailerpark monthlies like in Bakersfield or LA.

Quiet, relatively clean. Next to national forest and near Pyramid Lake (Quail Lake is better fishing and also close). Good wifi coverage but not fast. Didn't try cable - we use directv. Nice folks. Probably not for you if you are looking for a blacktop parking lot with loads of people. Cheaper than other RV parks around. Kids had fun, stars are great at night.

The cabin is in need of upgrading badly. Filthy carpet and bathroon filled with dirt. When we complained, they said sorry and nothing was done. When we reserved we were not told to bring own linen. None is supplied. Would not stay in cabins ever.!!

So if any of you have seen National Lampoons Vacation with Chevy Chase you will remember the camp ground that him and his family went to...the cabins stunk...the pool was filthy...and the attendant was not dealing with a full deck. This is not a resort, unless of course you are a cockoach. If you are interested in cockroaches, or have ever wondered what it would be like to camp with them, then this camp ground is the place for you. You will find the cockroaches all over the grounds, especially covering the dump stations right next to your RV. The gold course is a joke. I don't think that anyone has golfed there since 1972. The playground is covered with fire ants, which of course is lovely for children. Children and fire ants get along well, and you will enjoy hearing your children scream as they are being attacked. During our visit we had the pleasure of staying nest to an RV with a violent pit bull. The dog was lovely, he went and bit three campers during his stay, and when we told management, they did nothing. Basically this is a place for rodents. Never Stay Here. There is no wildlife fun!

I like the fact boats & jet skiiscan be together. We have 2 jet skiis & a boat - this works well for us. The police do their job in making it safe & fun for everyone.....
