Escatawpa Hollow Camp Ground & Canoe Rental, Wilmer

We stayed here a month to help our Coastie son settle in. There is plenty of room for our 40-foot 5th wheel trailer and the rates were very reasonable. There is a nice path to the river for fishing and you can rent canoes, kyacks or tubes to enjoy a nice day floating down the river. Location is 1/2 way between MS casinos & Mobile activities (USS Alabama & Bellingrath Gardens are both good activities). Our hosts do have rules, but no more strict than those of other parks we have stayed at during our 4 years as full-time Rvers. They provided maps of local stores & restaurants to help us get situated and we were able to come & go as necessary to help our son any time, night & day. This is a very pleasant campground, we WILL return to visit again, especially if we have grandbabies in the future! PS/there is a wonderful fruit stand about 4 miles west on 98, great produce & good prices!

We camp at least 4 x's a year. This is one of our favorite places to take our family. They run a tight , clean campground. Very reasonable rules. We love going here because of the Bike trail, Hot Showers, Electricity, water hook-ups. Clean neat bathrooms. Clean white sandy beaches along cool clean river. Oh, and there is fishing. My Husband caught enough to feed our whole family for dinner. And that's saying something . We are a family of 8. Two adults and 6 children. (You just have to know how to fish with the right bait at certain conditions of temperature and weather!!) We also know of at least 5 other large families that love to camp with ours. There's also an awesome rope swing downstream that makes for a lot of fun and entertainment!! This place is well worth the time and money. We highly recomend to all family friendly campers!!!! But if you like to Drink alcohol or party all through the night and have traffic coming at all hours of the night, I don't recommend. The owners won't put up with that! Another reason we love this campground:)

fishing was terrific and the service was good.. nice clean family oriented campground
