Blazing Star Luxury Rv Resort, San Antonio

We had a GREAT experience at Blazing Star Luxury RV Resort. The park is very clean. The pool is very nice and it's open until 10 pm! Plenty of room to lounge around the pool. Small exercize room, ping pong table, game room, club house, and playground are located right by the pool. The grounds are well maintained. The staff is very friendly. The bathhouses are superb! Each bathhouse contains 4 bathrooms, each with sink, potty, shower, and chair. Very private and very clean. Sites are pull-through and have nice metal picnic tables. Trash pick-up each morning right at the site. No hiking to the dumpsters. All this for $45/night. We will make this our San Antonio RV home for all future trips. FIVE STARS! The park is very convenient to SeaWorld and Fiesta Texas. They actually have a free shuttle that will transport you to/from SeaWorld.

The park is nice. Service is very poor. Hard to get your supplies restocked (towels, toilet paper, etc.) Way over priced!! They also rent the swimming pool out for birthday parties for locals so the swimming pool is usually full with kids that are not even staying in the park.

They should take "Luxury" out of their name. The park looks nice at first glace but the service falls short of "Luxury". The office is staffed with very young people that are nice but not empowered to service customers. The manager is abrupt and rude....so if you have service issues....good luck. In summary, the name Luxury is misleading.....the price is the highest in town but the service is the worst.

The park is some what nice.If you want green grass you have to water it yourself.The staff in the office is young girls and are very nice.The manager is very rude.The most important thing everyone needs to be aware of there is the bad recepticals they have on their hookups and the wrong amount of amps.We experienced something very sad and i don't wish this on anyone staying there.We had a brand new travel trailer and never had any problems till there.We constantly had our breakers pop and when we told them they came out and changed the breakers.Then the next day to come home and find the power all shutt off due to the breakers again and find your pet of 7 years in good health dead because of the heat in the trailer.We had it checked out by electrician and were told bad receptical.The manager stated they never had to change then before and never have in 10 years.We later found out that there was several others that had problems has well due to the fact they don't keep up on their property and make sure all is working properly.The manager did nothing to say she was sorry but told us we needed to leave because she was scared of us suing.So for all you pet owners be careful.So with this said i don't recomend staying here at all.....

This RV Park is a long way from being a resort. You are just another dollar to this rv park. Check out how the fully timers and winter Texans at this park rate it. Everybody moving to other real resorts.

We picked Blazing Star because of recommendations from friends of ours. I'm very glad we did. With so many choices of resorts/parks to stay in, it's hard to make a decision sometimes based on reviews you read. This resort is as good as everyone else says it is. SeaWorld is right around the corner and the amenities are 1st class. My family really enjoyed their stay there. If you're in the area, give them a try.

Our family enjoys camping regularly in our tent trailer but instead decided to stay in one of Blazing Star's cabins because of bad weather forecasts. The resort is right next to Seaworld allowing for a mid-day break from the park if desired as we did. We found the resort itself to be well maintained and clean with very nice people both working and staying there. The clubhouse and pool areas are extremely nice with a wonderful hot tub spa. The only less than optimal experience was with the beds in the cabin that were not very comfortable especially the fold-out sofa bed for the kids (although at ages 5 and 8 they never complained). The bedroom had a full size bed so for a couple use to a queen or king bed, be prepared for a closer sleep. Fortunately, we were somewhat prepared for the beds with foam mattress covers we use in the camper that made things tolerable. Also the thin walls and windows of the manufactured cabin did little to muffle the the noise of the crickets and other insects outside. However, the cabins are a great value and made for a reasonably comfortable stay on par with staying in an RV as it relates to the beds and buffer from nature. I found the resort overall to be a great value alternative to a hotel considering the full kitchen provided including stove, microwave, and full size refrigerator and freezer. Oh yes, the kids loved the LCD flat screen TV and the fact that there was an additional small TV in the bedroom for mom and dad. Also, we checked out the often touted bath houses and found them to be the nicest and cleanest we have every seen in an RV park each with 4 seperate bathrooms each with a full door, shower, toilet, and sink for the ultimate in privacy and comfort. If you are staying Sunday - Thursday as we did, check their site for a coupon offering buy 3 nights get one night free which made the stay extremely economical.

blazing star made our experience awesome! we were there for our state 4-h shooting competion and with all the stress of the competion they just made everything much better, thank you so much! we will see you in july!!

THIS PLACE IS SO FUN FOR YOU OR YOUR KIDS OF ANY AGE. THE SERVICE WAS AWESOME. I ALSO LOVED THE ACTIVITIES FOR THE KIDS AND FOR THE ADULTS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS CAMP GROUND TO EVERYONE.

This a wonderful campground. Well maintained, clean, great activities for the kids, and close to the best attractions in San Antonio. Pool facilites are wonderful with features that provide entertainment for both adults and children. The weekend breakfasts are awesome-better than going to a restaurant. Definitely the premier campground in this portion of Texas. On our top ten list of campgrounds, it is a 8.
