Nice RV Resort
By Lila, 7/16/12
After traveling around the San Antonio area for a full day checking out RV Parks Blazing Star was our last stop. We definitely saved the best for last! Upon entering the park you will find the main office with a general store, arcade room, conference room, etc. Just outside the french doors on the back of the office you will find a ping pong table and swimming pool. All of which are very well kept. There is a huge laundry facility that is a little cheaper than laundromats....every washer and dryer is $1.25. There is a nice size playground for the kids and a fitness center. The RV lots themselves are shaded nicely, something we didn't find with any of the other RV parks in the area. Cable is included with your lot rent. They offer Tengo internet that is a seperate fee. Pretty expensive at $35 per month. Cell phone service is great! Overall we have found Blazing Star to be a clean, quiet RV resort!

Gone down hill fast with new manager
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/4/11
I stayed here several years in a row during fall months and in 1 year this place has gone down hill so fast I can't believe it. Long term used to be in the back of the park and clean, it is now all over the park and filth is everywhere. Last year the new manager spoke of how she was going to make the park so much better (nothing was wrong) but all she has done is destroy one of the best parks in town. Its so sad to see such a wonderful place go down hill within a year. Price has gone up way to much for a park that's in such disorder. As a local, I drive by from time to time hoping it gets better but no such luck, it gets worse every time I stop in. For those who have stayed before and enjoyed the park you will be in shock to see it now.

Way overpriced for what they offer
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/17/11
We have stayed at many real RV resorts over the years. This one is not. Its a trailer park, lots of run down long term renters. Many of the long term renters act and speak to daily use users very poorly. Got told to quit walking on THIER lawn by several residents. Mind you I did not 'cut through' a camp site, this was grass lots at the end of rows that are behind units. WiFi access is an expensive add on and does not work worth a hoot. My cell phone was literally 10x as fast. Gave up trying to use after a few hours. Asked for a refund and told to call Tango for 'tech support'. There are no trash cans or dumpsters in the park. Only up front at the exit which is a long walk from the back row where we go stuck between 2 very old units that obviously had not moved in many years. Electric service for our row of the park was off and back on several times through the weekend, off for several hours one morning. The office is nice but thats it. Its a large parking lot with no landscapeing and poor infrastructure for an RV park. Way over rated to call this a 'resort'

overpriced....
By John, 6/18/11
Definitely is not a luxury resort park....I believe that they were overpriced and when I asked them to explain the discount as advertised they would not give us a straight answer. The premium sites are NOT any better than any other site there. We were very dissappointed. On the good side, it was close to several areas that were very convenient to get to.

Horrible-Worst Park Ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/18/11
They claim to be pet friendly, yet kept our deposit when the neighbors dog went into our cabin for less than 5 minutes. As a result, we lost $200. The people are rude when you check in, they gave the key to our room to someone else, and the AC didn't work in the cabin we rented. While th epark is nice, the people are not. I wouldn't stay here again if it was the last vacation spot in North America! Don't waste your time...or money.

Rude Employee's
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/6/10
The general mgr. was very rude as well as the young girl that worked the desk. Most unfriendly r.v resort we ever visited! That is a shame because the resort it self is nice but with employees like that people will not return.

Best RV Park in San Antonio
My husband and I travel in our RV 365 days a year, so we know a good park when we find one. It may sound strange, but I tend to judge a park by the way I am treated when I enter the front door. Everyone is kind and helpful. The park itself is clean and we especially like the concrete pads. We have a large coach and there is not a problem of our jacks "sinking" into the ground. Pool is great, huge laundry room. This is our third time of staying for more than a month at a time and are still happy. New General Manager is really improving the esthetics of the park as well. We had moved from another RV Park close by and are glad we did...much, much better here.

Wonderful Place to Stay!
By Claudia, 4/22/10
I've been traveling full-time with two kids this year, and this was by far the nicest place in Texas! Don't let it's large size deter you - the staff is friendly, they have activities during busy season (pancake breakfast, movies, free hot dogs, etc.) and a shuttle to Sea World. There are four bath houses, BIG laundry, a heated pool, clubhouse with video games and pool tables. There is also a weight room and masseuse. We met some really nice people - both working and staying there. Only downside: the grounds could be taken care of better - not much grass but plenty of weeds and since it was rainy this spring - they were a bit out of control and were not mowed as often as they should've been. We stayed there 8 weeks in a 5th wheel, and the monthly rate includes electricity, which is nice.

Great experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/24/09
I stayed in one of the cabins (number 320) and found it delightful. Very clean and neat, plenty of space, great bed, TV with cable in LR and BR, internet access, clean and well stocked kitchen, etc. The park is beautifully maintained, daily garbage pick up, linen/towel exchange as needed. Staff and management were very helpful and extremely friendly. Inexpensive and clean laundry room. Great access to everywhere...located right on 1604. I really felt at home and will stay here on my annual trips to SA.

Best Place Ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/7/09
We stayed at Blazing Star for 13 weeks. This is without a doubt tha finest RV park we have ever been in. The park itself is great. The staff however, is awesome! We have never been treated as nice as we were treated here. Everyone went the extra mile to help us out with directions to places and any other questions we had. If you are going to be in the San Antonio area, this is the only place you need to look for. It's the very best!
