Leos Campground and Rv Park, Key West

We tented at Leo's in July. Had a wonderful time. Leo's was very accommodating, always. Very clean bathrooms, very quiet at all times. The wild life was amazing. Great place to stay. Bus line runs right in front and cabs will take you anywhere you might need to go. The girl in the office was very nice. The canal that runs behind Leo's didn't seem to make any difference at all. No mosquitoes to speak of. We had a huge tent and they made arrangements for us to be on a large site. Can't wait to visit again.

We stayed in a tent and they where very accomadating would stay again close to bus stop so no need to fight trafic into town and also found the bathroom very clean cudo's to the young lady working the office and doing the cleaning as well.

We just spent a week at Leo's campground. Could not of been happier! The staff (Kelly and John) were extremely friendly and the sites were clean. John and his wife have taken a lot time over the last few years to get the campground into great shape. They are in the process of re-tiling the restrooms (one of the men's was completed during our stay) and and the laundry facility was a big asset. This was a great place to stay and we will be back for sure on our next visit to Key West.

The place was great, clean, roving chickens, iguana and plenty of wild life, a great experience for the whole family. They were very friendly and accommodating, anyone that would leave a bad review is just not happy with life!!

Leo's is small and friendly. We have gone there for the last 4 winters and are planning to return again this year. Price is right, location is right. Yes, it does not have a pool and game room but we are not going to the Keys for that. Very close to the main drag if you want to drive or catch a bus and close to bike routes into town. New laundry. Internet in a central location. Cable TV. Clean. Close to everything. This is family run and they are always working on updating it. Looks better every time we go. Can't wait to get back!

Just returned from 2 magnificent nights in the Keys at Leo's campground and what a lovely time we had. First of all, we set up our campsite on a beautiful water front surrounded by a lucious mangrove forest rich with wildlife only the keys have to offer. helpful staff eager to assist you with any needs take pride in keeping the restrooms in prestine condition. Located a few feet from US1 and a block from a Chevron gas station you will surely find plenty to do. Want to relax? Leo's provides a fully stocked game room filled with games such as checkers and battle ship. what fun! Can't find your way around town? No worries the diverse homeless population that fill the streets literally beg at the opportunity to assist you. Leos provides all campers with a spacious 6ftx6ft camp site with state of the art bbq grill and picnic table. Every morning we awoke to the sweet melody of a squaking rooster that filled the air for hours. Thirsty and dehydrated from a wild night in key west? Drink from the bathroom faucet or the polluted river located near camp because water was no where to be found in the vending machines. On a final note not once did we hear our neighbors pass gas! Looking forward to our next visit to Leos Campground!

Sites were so small and cramped. It was like parking in your own backyard. In fact I have more room in my backyard than this campground. No place to turn around RVs and backing out on the road is dangerous and frequently blocked by business traffic.this Very noisy as this campground is located across the street from US 1 and a heavy equipment rental business that starts at daybreak. Charged extra for dog, yet not allowed to have pet outside of RV at anytime and no accomodations for pet walks except on the garbage ladden street in front of the campground. Only thing going for this place was the cable tv.

Closest campground to Key West and half the price of Boyds Campground. I have stayed at Leo's for the past 5 winters and agree the restrooms are outdated but clean and they have no pool but for the savings allows us to go out to eat and enjoy Key West. Boyd's charges 2400 a month and is not that great for that much. money and over 100 for a campsite per night. You can stay at a cheap hotel for that.

We read the rotten reviews after we had already paid for our reservation, so we were a little leery of what we would find when we arrived. Yes, it is small, yes it kinda looks like someone's back yard, yes there is a lot of traffic noise. HOWEVER, we would absolutely go back. The staff was incredibly nice and the facilities were spotlessly clean. We weren't looking for a camp ground with entertainment facilities, we were looking for an inexpensive, safe place to sleep while visting Key West. Key West was the attraction, not a "luxury" campground that you can find in any town. In essence, if you are a seasoned camper, this place is great. If you are spoiled and insist on luxury accomodations, go elsewhere.

We enjoyed staying at Leo's because of the location. Sure the bathrooms need updating, but Leo's is just across the bridge on Stock Island and just a 4.5 mile bike ride to the center of Key West action. It's not a resort, but is a utilitarian place to park your RV to enjoy Key West. The reservation staff was very friendly and the site was ready when we arrived. It was $18.00 a night less expensive than the closest competition. That's enough to enjoy another fish and chips lunch at Bo's in Key West.
