Service without a Smile
We stayed at the Anchor Inn because we were participating in a triathlon in Blaine. The website mentioned that by asking, you could get a later checkout, but when we asked, we were told very abruptly that we could only do that if we wanted to pay for another day! Since checkout is 11:00 am and we were only asking to stay until 12:30 or 1 pm, we thought that was ridiculous.
The room was fine; your basic lower-end motel room (although the wooden ceiling was pretty). However, it offered NO amenitied. Ours was a "kitchen unit" with no dishes, silverware, or cooking utensils; it didn't even have a coffee-maker! There were no tissues in the room; the bathroom offered toilet paper and 3 microscopic bars of soap.
Overall, I was disappointed and would not go back.
