The location is good, a short walk from downtown Grand Marais and very close to the Angry Trout and Fish Market Restaurants. Walking to the downtown area is easy, but there is a small hill coming back. This could be a problem if you have limited mobility.
There is no lake view, but the price reflects that.
The Owners are very personable and keep the place clean. The vibe is remodeled 60's but with a eco-green twist. Having a fridge and stove in the room was nice, we could make our own breakfast.
Very quiet for the most part. We stayed in room #4 and the only downside was that having noisy people in room #3 could potentially be a problem.
There is wi-fi available, but you have to pay for it.
All in all, a great place to stay, very convenient and a great value.
