Do Not Stay Here! ! !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/14/11
I stayed here for a week while working at the Willapa Bay Wildlife Refuge. I was told upon check-in to be sure to put my 'maid service please' sign out each morning if I wanted any maid service. So I did exactly this and much to my surprise after arriving back here after a long hard day at work to find that my room hadn't been touched. No problem, since I still had a couple clean towels. After arriving back from work the next day, again my room had not been cleaned. I asked my buddy who was staying a few rooms down if he was receiving any maid service. He said that when he checked in he told the office he didn't really need any maid service but only needed his towels replaced every other day. Since I was now out of towels I took my dirty towels to the office and exchanged them for some fresh towels. I told them I was not getting maid service and would like to start having my room cleaned each day. Of course, it never happened. They never cleaned my room one time the whole week I was there. I even had to go to the office to get a fresh roll of toilet paper. On top of this horrible service there were several other things that were unacceptable. There is a bar directly across the street and to say it is loud is an understatement. Even on Monday or Tuesday night, the music booms and the patrons outside smoking yell and scream continually. The walls in this hotel must have no insulation at all because a couple moved into the room directly below me and I could hear every word they said to each other. Horrible, horrible sound insulation. The shower in my room was something akin to an RV shower. I'm a big guy. 6'2 265 and had absolutely no room to move in the shower. The bed was rock hard and the tv had an annoying buzzing which meant I had to turn up the volume so I would no longer have to hear the buzzing. Avoid this motel at all costs.

Pleasant and cozy place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/5/07
While this certainly isn't the Ritz Carlton, it also isn't priced like the Ritz. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff knows the local area well and truly takes an interest into your questions and concerns. They most definitely went out of their way to make you feel that you meant something to them personally. Small family run businesses seem to care more for their customers than larger chains, I wouldn't stay any other place when I am in the Long Beach area.

To Noisey
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/06
The place has paper thin walls and you here the Tv set in the room next door. If your over 140 pounds, you have to squeeze into the shower. When the bar across the street closes, The streets fill up with rowdies. At fishin time in the morning you here 1 after another diesel truck go by. The owners are not pleasent and must have written the above reviews. The Edgewater is 2 miles away on Long Beech with a restaurant, view and recently built with the rooms being the same price.

Home Town Hospitality
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/17/06
While this motel was clean, comfortable, affordable and quite, it was the service and hospitality that prompted me to write this review. My wife and I initially wanted to stay in Long Beach, however, we failed to make reservations and could not find any available rooms. Thus, we traveled two miles south to Ilwaco to continue our search. Ilwaco is a beautiful little town that is not full of the "tourist trap" stores, but is full of local people and caters/embraces its history as a fishing village rather than tranforming to a mini-Long Beach. Col-Pacific Motel was the last of three motels that we stopped at (to view rooms and inquire about prices) and while the price was within four or five dollars of the others, the rooms were obviously much cleaner than the other two. Thus, we stayed and let me tell you, the service (conversation, knowledge of the area, recommendation for dining, activities, etc.) was EXCELLENT. While my wife and I spent much time in Long Beach, we looked forward to returning to the small town of Ilwaco and the comfort of our room (away from the hordes of people/children that congest the streets of Long Beach). My wife and I highly recommend this motel and are dumbfounded as to how it is rated #8? Give it a try if you are looking for a motel experience that actually enhances your vacation!

The only place we'll stay when fishing out of Ilwaco
By Ted, 7/14/06
Outstanding customer service from check in to check out. Not only is the motel only two blocks from the Port of Ilwaco, it is directly across the street from the only restaurant we found to be open at 4:00 A.M. I wish I had their beds in my home! Further, the staff at the motel went above and beyond from providing both a wake up call and alarms in the room, to storing our vacuum packed sturgeon in their freezer!
