We loved Anthony's! The price was very reasonable, $59 per night on a Friday/Saturday. It was far enough away from the downtown "party" area of town where the college kids and tourists stay which we really wanted, as we were there during Spring Break.
The room was very nice, with a big comfy king bed and completely furnished, including dishes, sofas and a little dining set in the kitchen area. It even had a stereo/CD player and books and magazines in case you forgot your own reading material.
There was a cute little kitchen, with a full sized fridge, not the usual mini-fridge that you can't fit anything into. The place was very clean and quiet at night. My favorite feature was the beautiful custom shower. It had hand-pressed ceramic tiles with an ocean motif, set among real stone tiles. The shower head was one of those big luxury oversized types that make it feel like you are under a waterfall or in the rain. Usually hotels have awful standard plastic tubs with those low water use high pressure shower heads. But Anthony's had the nicest shower I've seen in a hotel yet.
We were amazed that it was so affordable, since we had just looked at a room in another nearby hotel for the same price that was awful. What a relief we stumbled across this great place. We will definitely stay here again.
