Sunrise Beach Motel, Mackinaw City

We stayed here on a cold Labor Day weekend. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable but it is an older style motel. Unfortunately our room's heater did not work and we froze the whole night, there was even frost on the inside of the windows. We did not realize it was broke until the middle of the night as we got in late and assumed the heater would get hotter as the night went on (the heater was a little old as well). I called in the morning and they replaced the heater that day but when I asked for some compensation on the night we froze they were very unwilling to do that. I only asked for about 20% compensation and she stated that since I told them in the morning and they fixed it that was all they could do. Did she really want me to call at 1:00am and would they have even answered the phone? What would they have done at that hour? Like I said it was a decent motel but hope everything works right away because you won't get any compensation if it doesn't!
