If you like unusual and interesting places to stay and are a non-smoker you should check this place out. We stayed in the lodge and really enjoyed the ambiance. The staff was very friendly, the included breakfast was awesome. The little cottages are pet friendly... the lodge isn't. It's a great value and truly a find for those who want something out of the ordinary. One of the complaints I saw listed was the mattress. Ours was new and comfortable. The building itself is old, squeeky and quirky... and charming... lots of quirky surprises here, plus free internet, and DVDs to watch, plus satellite TV. We plan on going back.
I've stayed at a lot of Inns along the Oregon coast and this is my favorite. Even though it's not right on the beach, it is within walking distance. The decor is amazing (you must like antiques to appreciate it) and the people are great. Awesome selection of DVDs to watch. Didn't get a chance to eat there, but the food smells amazing. Love that it's pet friendly and I hope customers with pets treat the place well so it stays that way (we do).
The price was amazing as well. We've paid a lot more per night for a lot worse quality.
The Inn is a great place to stay. Walking distance to the beach, comfy rooms. The decor is interesting, just when you think you've seen everything, you find even more hanging from the ceiling, hung on the walls, sitting on shelves. I had so much fun checking out all the "stuff", Kip and his lovely wife have put so much love and effort into this wonderful Inn. They are laid back and gracious. We will be back , no question about that.
We have been here several times and the outside seems to get better every time. We love the decor and food ! I did notice a change in staff from the last time we stayed and now it seems a tad less organized, but still a great place.
First off, Misti is great! We have been there twice so far and going back over Memorial Day weekend. Took our to adult kids with us last time and they loved it. They felt very comortable with the place that they let there babies play on the carpet in their rooms. Breakfast is always great! Free DVDs to watch with free pop corn, and the place is...well you got to go to see just how great this place is inside and out. The price is beyond reasonable....a great steal! Go....Enjoy....Be surprized! Oh yes they are dog friendly, but do have it so those without dogs or kids are well taken care of too!
i dislike the horrible review i ust read. i recall this lady that stayed to nights had no complants until check out. what she does not say is that i know there was no way this could have happend. the guest that stayed before her had broken the light over the bed i had to change every thing on that bed because of the broken glass thanks for reading see you soon misti
I took my husband for valentine's weekend .. The exterior was cheesy but cute.. but the rest was real dissapointing.... the bed was horrible it felt like we were sleepin on pure springs.. the towels were old and dirty with clorox stains on them.. luckily we had brought extra towels , the bath tub looked like it had not been cleaned in awhile . We stayed there 2 nights and Misty never once came and made our bed.. and left the garbage in the room.. and to top it all off ... on the last moring that we were there, we were checking too see if we had forgotten anything on the bed and we found dirty used underwear tucked underneath the sheets.. We were so disgusted that I immediatley went to talk to the owner and she had no aplolgies she said that " she did not know what to say. She had the nerve to tell us that it was her friend who had stayed there and that he had not had any companions with him... Like it that was gonna make us feel any better!!!!. she was very rude and actually tried to imply that we were lying.. so obvioulsy they do not strip clean the beds after check out... I will never stay there again or would I recommend this place to anybody.... at 49.00 dollars a night.. I guess the saying " you get what you paid for" is really true..
Misty was a grate hostess and the rooms were Fab.. Was the most relaxing trip Ive been on yet. sleept like a baby and the breakfast was wonderful. Im never going to stay anywhere else when in lincoin city......
