Cabot Motor Inn, Lancaster

My experience at the Cabot Motor Inn was terrible We made reservations two months ago for three rooms side by side. When we arrived only two rooms were together and the third room was on the other side of the hotel. The third room reeked of smoke and the shower had not been cleaned. If that was not enough the rooms were being charged at different rates, even though we had made the reservation together and we were quoted another price. Breakfast was terrible. When i asked the front desk to get more apple juice and orange juice the attendee gave me an attitude and rolled her eyes. We asked if there were anymore bagels and the attendant brought out frozen bagels. When we asked for more milk...I got the response...."we've gone through 3 gallons already". I really don't care how many gallons they went through if a so called "breakfast" is suppose to be available, It should be. The coffee was so bad we had to go out and get our own. When we asked to speak to the manager, he did come out, but he never introduced himself. He had an I don't care attitude and basically said there was nothing he could do for us until we threatened to call his manager. He was saving the third room that was next to us for someone that had not checked in. The pool area was okay but some of the lights were burnt out. We have always gone to the Cabot because of their wonderful atmosphere and service. I will never go back. I have never been treated so poorly when traveling. New management needs a refresher coarse on how to treat travelers.

Thank you for providing a wonderful visit for the whole family...even our pup ! The hotel was nice and the pool and gym were also a nice addition to our two day stay in NH. I love the pub, and the owner was so kind and a pleasure to meet. I hope to be able to visit again soon.

Stayed at the Cabot Motor Lodge while visiting Santa's Village with my family. The new owner was very pleasant and accomodating. The newly renovated Irish Pub provided a family friendly atmosphere, good food and great service. My son, then five, loved the pub and the pool. We have already booked to stay here again in Oct 2011. During the winter months, this shall be my choice of place to stay.

All staff members are so friendly, room was neat and clean:), our room has very nice mountain view, we realy enjoy the pool and the best thing is they have restourant on property. we are definitley going back with more friends.

In the area of Santa’s Village your choices are limited. The food at the Cabot Motor Inn was trying to be upscale, but was not very good. My daughter ordered ham and they gave her pork, when questioned they said “that is how their ham looks”. My wife’s pasta was just not very good. I would not eat there, not that there are any other places for a nice average dinner (burgers and pasta) in the area. The room was clean, but dumpy. The couch armrests where torn badly, the bed had black stains under the sheets (should have not looked). The pool was nice, hot tub not working. The location is right, but the value just is not there.

Our room had no windows. We asked and reswered a room with a view. We also did not have a lock on our door. Never again

We stayed at cabot motor inn for a weekend getaway and it was very relaxing place. We got the view room, the views are so beautiful. We enjoyed their pool and gym. The gym was the best with lots of equipment. We did not have to go out to find food, we enjoyed the food at their resturant. The lounge was open till late.......very friendly place. Very ROMANTIC.

We stayed at this place along with two other families. We reserved a room with a view and the room given to us was on the other side of the view. The desk person told us rudely that "u hav to take this room if you wan t to stay". We were shocked hearing this, and moreover, the room smelt like a smoking room(my wife is a smoke allergic). It was bad experience, and we we'll look for another option on our next trip to Lancaster.
