Edgewater Motel & Cottages, Bar Harbor

The cottages have everything you need at a more than fair price. David & Jayne are wonderful hosts. It is right on the water and only a few minutes from downtown Bar Harbor. We've been two years in a row and will go back again in 2010 for my birthday weekend. A new tradition begins. Thanks guys!

We discovered Edgewater in 1992 and have stayed no where else for 11 years. We love it so much we one summer we rented 3 units and brought my family. The owners are wonderful, giving people. My son literally grew up in Cottage 2, we would arrive and by the time we had finished unpacking he had already rearranged the shoreline (the owner used to tease him about it) but throwing hundreds of small rocks and shells out into the ocean. It is a wonderful tranquil place and I would recommend it to anyone, unfortunately a move and our sons baseball has kept us from being able to visit in the past couple years. It truly is "Heaven On Earth".

Was pleasant and nice to stay there when the parents owned it!!!!! Beautiful view and great bicyling. Should have separate are for washer and dryer.
