This place gives dumps a bad name...

hand hewn cedar cabins? What a joke, this shanty town appears to have built by the Three Stooges while intoxicated, do yourself a favor and find a better spot to relax, like sleep under a bridge.

Ampersand Under Construction

If you're looking for a weekend in the Adirondacks that is a small step up from a State Park facility, Ampersand is for you. For the price, I was VERY surprised how outdated the facility was. Even more deceiving is the website - which is a very, very nice website that reflects the Ampersand is a really nice facility. What they don't show is the beautiful new facility they're in the process of building which blocks the view of the existing dated cabins. And if you're looking to sleep in, the Ampersand is NOT for you, construction workers arrive at 6:30 and begin using power saws, nail guns, etc.

What a great place

We stayed there and had the best family vacation we ever had with the best hospitality we ever expierenced. They do not charge extra for children or infants because we have a few of our own so I don't believe the other review has any validity.

What a SHAM

Relation skills are in the toilet, they tried to charge us an extra $100 for our infant son, owners appeared intoxicated at nightly fire...what else can I say..DONT EVER VISIT!
