The Colonial Inn of Ontario, Ontario

We had stayed at this location six weeks earlier with our dog. Knowing that pets were permitted and that we had to be in Ontario Jul 6, we made a reservation at least 3weeks in advance. We advised them we had a dog and was advised there were dog rooms available and the accomodations were confirmed. Early AM Jul 6, I called to guarantee for late arrival and once again confirmed that we had a dog. Upon arriving, our reservations were denied due to the fact our dog was over 25lb! Sometme between May 11 and Jul 6 they had a policy change and we were never advised. The rude, no apology, response we received from the manager on duty was unbelieveable. There was no attempt to locate another room in another chain; we were just told which other hotels might have rooms available and we were on our own. Customer service is non-existant at this place.
