Silver Sands Motel & Marina, Gilford

The facilities are immaculate. The staff and mechanics responsive and knowledgeable. The rates reasonable. I have been storing and launching my boat from there for 10 years and have never received anything less than the utmost in service quality and courtesy.

I canceled my reservation 6 months in advance and they kept my deposit because I canceled after Feb 1st....management is very, very rude...we have stayed here before and enjoyed the stay...everything is fine unless you cancel and ask for your deposit back...then they become very rude and insulting....

I have been staying at Silver Sands for 16 years, and have never had a problem with the service. I personally know every member of the staff, and they are all very polite and helpful. The person that wrote the bad review did not even stay there.

We have been going to silver sands for 8 years now. . We have stayed in the motel,apartments and the white sands, We are waiting for a pink cottage but belive me, it will be awhile as no one wants to leave this little part of heaven we call silver sands.We go with alot of family every year, our children cannot wait for our vacation, what makes it so special is the wonderful staff, Maureen, Jade, Susan just to name a few , will go out of their way to help you. They treat you like family and I would rather be treated that way and know if there is a problem they will take care of it than have ac belive me, you dont need it on the lake. We cannot say enough about this wonderful place. If you see a bad review, dont listen, this is the best place to make many wonderful memories with your family and friends for many years to come. cannot wait to see you all in july 2009

We have been going to Silver Sands Motel in Gilford, Nh, for almost 13 years. We have stayed in the hotel units, the apartment units, the cottages, the seasonal units, and also on our boat in the marina. We stayed next door for a week one summer but we went back the next year. We have stayed for an entire month and we are doing the same this year. We love Silver Sands. It is the best priced resort on the lake. It is right on the lake with a pool. Last year the pool was heated and our kids went in every night, even when it was cold. We take a walk every night around the marina. Our kids know other kids in the marina and they love hanging out with whoever is around. It is a great place to stay. We have never had a problem and we know the owners and the management. It is centrally located to restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping. We have a boat and they always provide a boat slip. We will probably never go anywhere else because we have kids and it is one of the most kid friendly places I have ever been to.

Silver Sands has everything you need for a great vacation. A beach & a pool. The units are all very nice and the staff is great. We will be back summer 2008!

YOU CAN'T FIND ANOTHER PLACE ON THE LAKE THAT HAS THE AMENITIES AND SERVICES THIS PLACE HAS.IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY AND LOVE BEACH,POOL,BOATING, AND ATTRACTIONS NEAR-BY.(WEIRS)AND DON'T CARE IF THERES A/C(I DON'T, NOT NEEDED ). THIS IS YOUR PLACE.I'VE BEEN COMING HERE FOR 20 YRS.,NEVER HAD A BAD MOMENT. MANAGEMENT IS FRIENDLY,ALMOST FAMILY,AND ACCOMADATING.CHILDREN HAVE PLENTY OF SPACE TO PLAY ON WELL KEPT GRASS COURT YARD AND BEACH(THE LARGEST ON THE LAKE)IN SHORT I WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING. JUST TRY TO FIND A BETTER PLACE!!I GOT MORE BUT NO SPACE.
