Balsam Motel, Lake George

We spent the first night squishing biting flys ( lost count at 20 ). There were cob webs on every lamp shade , hair on the bathroom floor and a puke-like smell in the room UGH! Also, the air conditioner wasn't working right and when my husband removed the cover the filter was totally clogged. Glad we only stayed a short while. Unless you like it dirty avoid this place!

Thanks to Suzanne and George the owners of the Balsam, my family and I had another terrific summer vacation. This past July we stayed at the Balsam for a weeks vacation in cabin #11.We've been going there for years of enjoyment.It is set back in a wooded area giving it a private country setting,the grounds are well kept and it is very quite, yet just a short distance away is the village with plenty of entertainment for the young and young at heart.Suzanne and George are a wonderful, caring people that treat you as they would want to be treated.We are going back in September for a weekend tay before they close for the season.Go stay there yourself and you won't be dissapointed. We don't stay anywhere else!!!!! Rotterdam,New York

we went for 3 day's, had a wonderful time stayed 4 day's instead.They treat you like your the only one staying there.Have already booked for August and Sept. of this year to stay there again.Would only go to Lake George for the day if they had nothing available. won't stay any where else.....

there is nothing to dislike,George and Susanne are our second family, we would never be treated like that any where else. we have been staying there every time we go, for the last five years.
