Lakeview Fireplace Cottages, Lake Luzerne

I've been going since I was a 9-y.o. kid, and am going back this week with my family, so I found this site looking for pictures to show a friend who is joining us. Clean, simple cabins, cable TV for when it's raining and the kids would otherwise drive you bat-sh*t crazy, and all the toys/games you'd want at a summer camp. (Volleyball, shuffleboard, swimming dock, rowboats/paddleboats/canoes, bbq grills, screened porches with big tables for family meals away with no bugs, etc.) And Lake George Village entertainment just 5 miles away. (Walking around town with an ice cream cone after dinner is a simple, cheap pleasure.) Winter? The lake is part of the trail system, you can leave your snowmobiles at the property for repeated weekend visits, (instead of hauling them every trip) and SKIING - West, Gore, and even Killington are nearby. Come back to the fireplace ... it doesn't get much better. Bring in food from a supermarket and cook in the kitchens, or go out to any of dozens of restaurants. (2 good ones within walking distance serve breakfast/lunch/dinner.) By far, the BEST value of any place I vacation, and always a good time. Even when it rains. ;-)

Lakeview cottages I have been vacationing in the Lake George area for over 20 years. Since discovering Lakeview cottages over10 years ago. It is the only place I will stay at. Summer time is the best. You are less than 50 feet from beautiful Lake Vanare. Lake Vanare is a small lake with the best Swimming, Boating, and Fishing. Other activities are Horseback Riding, the Rodeo and river tubing are all in walking distance. Winter is great too. The Warren County snowmobile trails are right there over 200 miles of trails. The owners are wonderful people they will make your stay the best it can be. My stay has always been relaxing and fun filled. One stay and you will be returning for a longer vist the next time

lakeview cottages are spotless and owned by an endearing and very interesting couple. we have been staying winters for about 10 years and are constantly overwhelmed by the peaceful tranquility of the cottages. they are directly on lake vanare which is 5 short miles to lake george village and activities. this is the only place my husband can really let loose and relax. we are looking forward to many more memorable winters on lake vanare.

Lakeview Cottages are the epitome of simplicity - no extragant luxuries or bells and whistles. Yet that's what makes them so great. You are literally a few feet away from the beautiful Lake Vanare. Lake Vanare is a great place for a family vacation. I've been going for two weeks every August since 1994 and it just gets better every year. I've met amazing people that have become some of my best friends. I would recommend Lakeview Fireplace Cottages to any family looking for a simple and affordable getaway that will keep them coming back for more. A stay at Lakeview is like owning your own rustic cottage on the shore of a beautiful lake [at least for a week or two!], for an incredibly affordable price. Believe me - once you come, you'll never want to leave!
