Mohican Motel, Cooperstown

This was a nice little place, centrally located but not too close too all the hulabaloo. It is as quaint as Cooperstown tries to be. Great for someone who does not want the pretentiousness of the Otesaga. The staff are polite and it is clean.

Well the room was clean. However, there was a huge spider web right in the hallway. There were many other spider webs in the hallway walking down the steps. They really should clean those out.

Most important the room was very clean. The beds were comfortable and they had good TV. I was able to change my reservation without any penalties. And the room was quiet. I stayed here when I was a kid with my parents. It was nice to return almost 10 years later and find the place still a nice place to stay. One day when I have kids of my own I will bring them to see the baseball hall of fame and I will be staying here again.

Hi, I am Celeste Ryan, the owner of Mohican Motel. That review claiming mold is a fake. The vast majority of business owners in Cooperstown are honest and don't stoop to such a low level, but it seems there is a bad apple here. I have complained to Yahoo about that review and they did e-mail me and said that they had taken action against the writer, yet the review remains. For your information the vast majority of my guests when they check out comment that I have a nice place and they had an enjoyable stay. Many of my customers have stayed here many times. True we don't have a pool or spa but we don't charge nearly as much as those places that do. Have a nice day and I apologize about the bad apple. Celeste Ryan
