Get what you pay for

I stayed her for a week. The weekly rate is $150 for a room with a fan and $160 for a room with an air conditioner. I got the one with air. The good: Quiet (thank God!). Cheap rates. Very close to places to eat and bus lines and a taxi company is right down the street. Wi Fi in rooms. Cable television. Microwave. Managers are very friendly and will respond to requests with promptness. The bad: Rough neighborhood (although the motel itself is very quiet. I love the peace). BED BUGS. Filthy carpet and bathroom. Pipes leak. This is somewhere to stay if you are extremely low on cash and only for a few days---a couple of weeks. But like I said, you get what you pay for. Just be sure to leave your luggage in your car. Bed bugs love hitching rides in luggage. You don't want to take them home with you.

I'd stay there again if I was in proximity to a job site

I slept well. Nobody bothered me. I asked if they had internet and they said, "no". The next morning I received a knock on the door telling me they now have internet. They seemed to be very eager to please a business man traveling. This motel is in a gray area of Detroit near downtown. But I was not harassed and walked away with a story and a smile. Don't take the family there. It's a great business man's hidedout. No real sit down restaurants nearby. Nor would I frequent any local taverns. But plenty of fast food, gas stations, liquor stores as well as places to shop for food, sundries and casual wear. If I had business to perform business again in that general vicinity I'd patronize this establishment.
