River Park Motel & Suites, Chicago

Not sure what the last reviewer's problem was. This is a Lincoln Avenue motel - what were you expecting?? Did you try to have a romantic night out here? Wow. This is not a Hilton or Hyatt. The Lincoln Avenue motels are for people looking for an affordable, clean, and convenient night's stay in expensive Chicago. River Park in particular is one of the more updated properties and has a great location across from Lincoln Village shopping center (a Starbucks and Panera!) I usually stay here during weekend trips to Chicago - Cubs games, partying, sight-seeing. I don't stay here for the view from the room or the "spa amenities" like shampoo and soap, haha. Bring your own! Next time take your girlfriend to a classy place.

As I don't care to spend $100 and up for a hotel, I often opt for one of the Lincoln Ave Motels on the northeast side of Chicago. The Tip Top is one of the better choices for these low budget, no frills motels on Lincoln Ave. Management seems to keep a pretty close watch on what goes on at the Tip Top Motel and if you call in a complaint of disorderly conduct they deal with the problem. The motels room are average but at least everything usually works. The motel and parking lot are enclosed so I feel my vehicle is usually safe. The prices are between $45.00 on weekdays and I believe $50 to $55 on weekends, not too bad for a decent place to lay your head after a night of partying.
