Regency Apartments, Bettendorf

I read some reviews and feel that these reviews are not a fair description. I have lived at Regency since 2005. I must admit things needed some work. the new people that came in later the next year really went to work. I love Regency and will continue to resdie here. Quiet and safe its the best property in the area. Ardell and Rose were always available to answer questions however many thimes the office was closed because they had no other support staff. I leave a message and Rose or Ardell would return my call. I know many neighbors that feel some of these reviews are insulting and do not reflect truth. Yes ice and snow is a problem but we do live in Iowa. The snow trucks are always here and Joe even leaves bags of salt by our doors. we have a pool and a weight room here and Rose and Ardell always have coffee and cookies in the office, not to mention all they great partys they have. regency is truly a great place to call home. I am an older tenant and have no intention of a move in the future. If you are needing an apartment make Regency your first visit.

I moved her in 2008 and I love it! Bettendorf is such a clean community and Regency is safe and quiet. I have a large 2x2 apartment with new carpet and vinyl the new manager just advocated free washers and dryers for every tenant, the old manager used to charge $40.00 per month I love having a brand new washer and dryer no laundry matt for me. I work 3rd shift so sleeping during the day has been a problem in the past at my last apartment but I sleep good here. The lawn mowers are loud once a week but its worth the sacrifice, I feel like I am in the country lots of trees and green space its beautiful, but close to shopping. Infact you can walk every place not to mention there is a beautiful bike path that runs along the creek thats within walking distance of the complex. I was reading the 2007 reviews wow the past mangement must of had some issues. But the man and women that are there now could not be more helpful and the repair guys that do the work are right on the job. The appliances are nice and clean and look great no complaints here! I felt like someone with a positive spin needed to comment I love my home just ask any of my neighbors I think they will share the same opinion.

-paper-thin walls, swear you could hear neighbors fart in their bathrooms -ice and snow not removed -doggy doo doo and doggy pee everywhere -neighbor with trashed car left parked in same spot for months and mgr did nothing - at least offer to rent them a garage to get the POS outta site -can't wait till lease is up

- Management is the issue with this complex. - Management is terrible. - The office is never open and no one ever returns phone calls. - The people who make the decisions are incompetent and lazy. - Dog poop is everywhere. (Don’t leave the sidewalk or you’ll be sorry). - Very noisy at times. (Management does nothing). -Buildings are cheaply constructed. (You can hear everyone in the building as well as smell his or her dinners and cigarette smoke). -Parking is a joke. There aren’t enough spaces. If you get home past a certain time you’ll have to park in a lot far away from you building. -Lawn care workers don’t pick up trash, they just mow over it. Then instead of one piece of paper/trash you’ll have 50 little pieces everywhere. -Snow/ice removal is terrible. Good luck trying to get to your car with ice on everything. -Stairs are always covered with ice and 2 or 3 pieces of salt. They never put down enough salt to do anything. -An elderly man and children that look like they’re 9-13 years old do snow removal. -Empty bags of salt are left to blow around the parking lot and end up in front of you door. -I would not recommend this place to anyone. I’m only here for work and that’s just for another 6 months, then I’m moving away from this area.

i am disappointed with my experience here. the apartments themselves are average, at best, and the rent is very high. the management is unhelpful. there has been a structural problem in my apartment for months that continues to get worse, and the management won't send someone to get it fixed. i've told them several times and the problem continues to get worse. i will be very happy to move when my lease is up. i would not recommend these apartments to anyone.

the management is terrible and they charge to much. its either live here or in the ghetto. this place has gone downhill. no one ever answers the phone or does basic upkeep to the buildings.

The only good thing about this apartment complex is the location, and I think the owners and management depend on that as the only attractive quality. The rent is very high for this area, and the apartments are not worth the price. They are small, have cheap appliances, carpet, and paint, and the walls are thin. The management, which has switched twice since I've lived here, is unhelpful with complaints. They make you feel terrible for complaining about very legitimate things, like unreasonably noisy neighbors. The snow and ice removal during the winter is really awful. The roads, sidewalks, and steps are always icy and rarely scraped. I am sure that, just like everything else here, the management chose the cheapest snow removal service to maximize their profits.

Liked: Six month lease. Everything else was not good. Tried to raise my rent two days after I moved in. Told them a lease is a lease and they backed off. Promised me a free TV when i signed the lease. Never saw it. I paid my rent in advance and gave two months notice....never received deposit and never received letter or response to letter regarding deposit. This could be a good place if it was managed better. Snow removal is poor if at all. You can do better in this area.

this place is overpriced and they let anyone move in. cigarette butts and trash are everywhere. snow and ice removal is a joke. iowa gets cold and they never do anything to the parking lot or sidewalks. falling on the ice is common, some tenants have even bought their own snow shovels and remove the snow so elderly residents don't fall. people are loud and the management never responds to complaints or maintaining basic needs. good luck at finding anyone when you need them at the office.

No service at all. Manager is horrible and doesn't respond properly. They don't follow what they have promised. Response keep on changing from one person to other in their leasing office. Response isn't consistant and seems someone is lying.
