Hunting Season,
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/9/11
We came up for the "hunting" season, we have been coming to the pocono pines motor inn for a couple years in a row. The owners, are very nice, it's like a home away from home. We always get a kitchenette, however, it's also very handy with the bar right across the street. We talk to the other hunters that stay at the same place. Nice, friendly place. Reasonable rates!

Is it 2011 yet???
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/10
We can truly say this place is "the best kept secret in the Poconos". We always stay in the kitchenette rooms. They come complete with dishes, coffee pot etc. Coffee is also supplied for your convenience. No need to go out to eat. Grills and picnic tables are in front of your room. This sometimes is a problem, because some rooms insist on using your table. Parking is right in front of your room. Continental breakfast is served on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We ususally bring our own. We have sat by the pool, but never used it. It is a perfect place for families to come and relax. But parents need to watch their own children, Pocono Pines does not supply babysitters and the other guests are on brake also, so we won't watch your kids either. There is a small playground for them to enjoy. Grocery stores are about 4 miles away and churches are about 10 minutes away. Although some people don't care for the cabins, it is what it is. A rustic, 1950's atmosphere in them. See you next year -- for the entire summer weekends.

Super mini Vacation
By Alida, 6/11/09
We went for the first time last summer for three days. We rented various cottages and kitchen units. It was our first Family re union and we had a blast. The owners Clair and Sheila could not do enough for all of us. The pool was clean and the units were comfy and cozy. They were all fully equipped. We loved it so ,that we are going back for another 3days this week and bringing more relatives. Could not find one negative thing to say . The price was right and service excellent. Great place to to just Chill out cook out or in and enjoy Nature. thanks Sheila and thanks Clair.

i felt right at home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/10/09
The poconos pines was great, and i felt like i was right at home. the owners were so friendly and welcoming. they really take the time to get to know you. in my opinion it was much better than staying at "big name" resorts and or hotels!!! The down home feel is what we enjoyed. the pool was perfect and very clean. you can always count on the showers having hot water. I will be back year after year!!! I strongly recommend this motel!!!

Family atmosphere
By ~~~cute~~~, 6/10/09
My Children enjoyed the pool and lake very much. The owners are very friendly greeting everyone with a smile. The atmosphere at the Pocono Pines is a very quiet and family oriented.I like that the owners greet you by name when they see you walking the grounds. Not like some larger places when you are just another guest in another room. Looking forward to my next trip to the poconos.

Have to go back before the summer is over
By Rich Barnes, 6/10/09
we recently stayed at pocono pines motor lodge and the rooms were very clean and cozy and the owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful with everything. Great location at lake wallenpaupack and the pool and picnic areas were very pleasurable. will go back before the summer is over. Sure was worth the money and would highly recommend it.

A lot to offer at afforable prices
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/10/09
We really liked staying at the Pocono Pines Motor Inn. They have a lot to offer as far as motel rooms, kitchenette's, small & large cabins, and they even have a 3 bedroom lodge. The prices are fair. They have a outdoor pool, picnic tables and charcoal grills. They also have campfire rings if you wanted to have a campfire. The owners are very friendly. They offer a free continental breakfast on weekends. We get together with our families for a mini reunion, this is our second year going to the Pocono Pines Motor Inn. It's a great place; we really enjoy it. Oh, forgot to mention their own private lakefront. We had such a good time swimming and fishing off of the docks. It's a fun place for all ages.

Regular yearly customer
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/10/09
Love what they have done with the place, always decorated with flowers and nice landscape. Rooms are large and spacious, especially the 3 bedroom Lodge. The kids loved the playground, pool and game room. My husband loved the Lake front area, he fished off the docks for hours. Can't wait to go back for the 4th of July.

I Second the Mildew Review
By IN THE KNOW, 9/2/08
When you pull up to the Pocono Pines you are immediately turned off when you see a disgusting, slimy outdoor pool on a busy street. Worse then that ......the cottage we stayed in was old, run down and had the most horrible smell of mildew. The mattresses and pillows had seen better days too. They were practically decaying and we were scared to death to sleep on them. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place unless you are going on a fishing trip with a bunch of guys and plan to stay very drunk.
