Courtesy Inn, Fort Lee

The information supplied on line about the hotel is inaccurate. When we walked in to the room the smell was foul. The light in the bathroom was broken. There were stains on the mirror in the bathroom. As you approach the bed you get a strong smell of cologne. The Inn which is actually a motel is purely for a one stop spot if you get the underlying message. Not a place I would recommend to anyone. I still feel grungy just from walking into the room. Board of Health should check this place out.

What I liked about this motel was that it was cheap and close to Yankee Stadium (somewhat) I was going to a game for 1 night and we had trouble finding a cab to get there. We figured it would be easy to get a cab but it wasn't. We asked the manager at the front desk and he didnt help much. We also couldn't understand him because no one there speaks english. We walk in the bathroom and find an old bar of soap on the floor in front of the shower. After the game we decided to check out Time Square and afterward, we decided to take the subway back to Yankee Stadium to catch a cab because we thought it would be cheaper. So we get in this cab and he doesn't know how to get to our hotel, after 45min of driving around and my giving directions to a cab driver, we get back. Angry that a 10min cab ride took 45min. We must of been talking loud because the next morning when I checked out, the manager in the office started yelling at me because they had 4 complaints about us. We were in the room for less than 12hrs total and may have been 'loud' (talking) for maybe 5min. but I don't think we were loud. One last thing, in the morning they have 'breakfest' which is just juice or coffee with small mini bagels. They didn't look good and I just got the juice. When I was walking down to the office, I had to walk around this bum or guy that was drunk and didnt make it into his room. That wasn't a pleasent site to see. I would NEVER stay in this motel again. I guess I got what I paid for. Definately paying more for a well known hotel.
