The staff was very kind and protective of me, as I had obtained a hotel voucher to stay there, as part of the temporarily homeless battered woman's sheltering program. But the location is no good, I had drug dealers and stolen goods fences hanging around my car and door making lots of noise and bumping into the windows and doors. Of course the police were called and arrived immediately and took the people away. Going out to my car I was offered a brand new DVD player for 5 dollars. Hah! The hotel was clean as it could be, though worn down, and I did feel protected. I've heard of drug dealers living there but I have no proof and I wasn't worried about that. So, only stay here if you're streetwise and don't pull up in a fancy vehicle with anything worthwhile viewable from the windows or on your person. The hotel does its best for the location it's in.
Paid over 50 bucks for a night in a room that was barely big enough for the queen size bed; bathroom made me not want to use the shower, malfunctioning door latch was causing me some concerns, considering the number of bums in the parking lot. Room was not cleaned well (some leftover peanuts from the last century evenly distributed on all shelves; carpet stains that were surprisingly big given the amount of visible carpet). Staff was OK, but still, what a rip-off!
On the bright side, there's a lot of interesting dining within walking distance (if you feel confident enough to walk across the parking lot after dark), but you can frankly get there without having to stay at this dump. I would agree with "ronald" that the two good reviews were most likely posted by the owner, or that the positive reviewers may have mixed up their motels. This is about as uncomfortable and overpriced as motels get, and I shall certainly never stay there again.
must have been the owner who wrote other review, this is a roach infested dump, do not even stop here , drug dealers live here , nothing works here, you may not even get pillows or sheets , you will get a high price for a nasty motel.
