Colonial Penn Motel, Grantville

I lkied the place.Quiet and away from the crowd.I liked the rooms though small ,they are cosy and the Manager and his family was very friendly and would ask us for any help the we might need. The carpets are new and looks like they just renovated the rooms Has coffee maker,small refrigerator,TV and Microwave. AND above all you have a Nice American restuarant just across the street when you are hungry to eat.

Room was cheap looking, curtains were hideous and did not match bedspreads, bathroom has no tub. Bathroom has no heat, freezing when you go to bathroom or to take shower. Space heater was in room and cut off, causing a possible electrical fire, microwave did not work, and last but not least, they charged my credit card 3 times within 3 days, causing me to have to file a dispute with my bank and a police report to recover funds. Manager was nice, but maybe that was an act. Would not recommend anyone to go to this Motel. Looks very nice from outside, like a cottage, but when you open the doors, something totally different.

We visited many hotels and motels in our trip (from Montreal to Florida), this motel was the worst: very unconfortable bed, dirty room.. I agree with last review : shame on PA state!

room smelled of cheap perfume. the room was filthy. no chain lock on door. the one light in bathroom did not work. the furniture,mattres, and box spring were stained, old and dirty. I left the room and slept in my car. shame on the state of pa. for not inspecting and allowing this motel to operate.
