We are not worthy!...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/29/09
I'll start from the end. The desserts are perfect. The chef really knows how NOT to overuse sugar. The mousse is excellent. Entrees are crazy. The veal is just right. I love haricot verre (did i spell that right?) and they are often the chef's choice. Done right. Steaks are grilled as they should be and they way you like them. The chef will give you suggestions and make anything you ask for with a twist. I have never had such good salad dressing. No choice - not necessary. It's tangy, tart and hot - absolutely great and the correct amount. I had the chicken satay with peanut sauce to die for. And finally, or should I say, first, the soups are out of this world. And kinds you don't expect - cream of celery is the best. You know you're in good hands when even the small things - side dishes, salad dresssing, soups, coffee - are just right. Start your meal by ordering dessert first, then work backwards. But don't miss a thing. Kudos to such a find in Reading, Pa. We are not worthy!....L&J

Fine Dining in Reading
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/12/08
Arbor Inn is a hidden jewel. The menu presents a broad selection of creative choices, the food is freshly and exquisitely prepared, and the service is friendly and down to earth. The knotty pine on the walls is a throwback to the 50s, but there's certainly nothing old fashioned about the cuisine here. Frank and Diannah clearly know what they are doing. They are CIA trained and worked in some fine restaurants in NYC before settling in Reading.

Always Great Food and Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/15/08
The chef-owners are clearly on the right track at Frank and Diannah's. Food is excellent and different and the atmosphere is friendly and cozy. We have taken people from all over the country and the world here and they have been more than pleased. Many of the diners seem to know each other but there is no sense of being an outsider. Very welcoming.

Excellent!

Excellent PA dishes with a unique twist. It is a nice quaint restaurant with good service and even better food. Charming and Delicious! There's also a bar and it seemed like one of those places where "everyone knows your name".

Excellent in every way
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/29/07
Excellent food, exquisitely presented. Cozy atmosphere. The only negative was that the food was so delicious we didn't save room for the home-made, tempting desserts.

only place in Reading worth visiting
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/06/07
Cozy atmosphere with great service and excellent food. All food is made to order - and tastes that way. We also liked how the owner/chef visited with his guests, we are sure to visit again.

Not good!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/10/07
The servie was horrible, we waited forever for the food, and when we got it, it was cold. The place was not even busy!! I do not recommend that you go here.
